this you can find in engineering dictionary not in general dic....the correct word is "lantern" and slab placed in opening of windows or doors top it is called "lintel" |

This word that you have written as "LENTER" is a disfigured form of the word "LINTEL". RC construction mainly consists of beams & slabs although there are other members as well."LINTEL" is a beam that is provided exclusively over an opening in the wall e.g doors & windows. This "LINTEL" is mis-spelt as LENTER & is wrongly used for any RC roof. |
