Dear Friends, :cl

Would you be kind enough to comment the impact of Margala Avenue on nearby Sectors like D-12 E-11 and E-12 ?
What will be the exact route of Margala Avenue ? Where it will join to the 11th Avenue and will the 11th Avenue be between sectors 11/12 or 10/11 :h

Thank you

E-11, E-12 n D-12 are already very well located within Islamabad and Margala Avenue connecting Islamabad to GT road will not have any considerable impact on these sectors.

Rather all the societies located near the point of intersection at GT road (somewhere between C-17 and B-17) will have a very strong positive impact because of a straight, direct, short and fast connectivity with Islamabad.

It will have tremendous positive impact on Sector D-12 and other adjoining Sectors as the peoples of KP Province, Wah, Taxila and Haripur as well as Norther Areas and Kashmir will be linked to Islamabad more closely in terms of distance and time.

The coummuters from that side will save atleast 30 minutes and 25 KMs to reach in heart of Islamabad.

Therefore rich and famous from that region would prefer to buy in D-12 more than any other sector in Islamabad as D-12 will be at the equal distance from all important places in Islamabad.

Also remember E-7 is most expensive Sector in developed area and D-12 has similar location as well.

The prices will shoot up once the road work starts.

starting point of Margala Avenue is understandable but at what point it will end up and linked with 11th Avenue is the question

what is the exact location of 11th Avenue ?

I think the purpose of Margalla Avenue is to facilitate people of Islamabad and connect them with newly developed sectors in the west, and NOT to bring in herds of people from all over the North. We also have future GHQ next to e-11 and government can’t afford making this road as highly demanding and high traffic road.

Javid 7th avenue runs in-between 6th and 7th sectors LIKEWISE 11th avenue will run in-between 10th and 11th sectors. Here is part of my reply in post number 59051 which I am copy pasting for your convenience:

A major highway cannot be made to merge into D-12's service road. This is not how Islamabad is designed. Islamabad's master plan has left plenty of space in-between sectors for highways (like 7th and 9th avenues run in-between sectors). Logically Margalla avenue should run parallel to the north service road of D-12 (a good distance apart from it), just before D-11 it should turn south and run in-between D-12 and D-11 until it reaches the point where the corner's of E-11 and D-12 meet. This is where it should turn east and run in-between E-11 and D-11 parallel to the northern strip. Just before E-10 it should turn south and become 11th Avenue.

Above is my guess but here is a clue: Take a look at CDA's pre-qualification notice for 11th avenue. It says "from Kashmir Highway to Margalla Avenue" it does not say "from Kashmir Highway to E-11 service road". The only way 11th avenue can touch Margalla avenue is how I have described above."
