The only confusion is if I give power of attorney to my brother ,then I pay cvt and then when he sell my plot does he pay cvt again.in this case will I be paying cvt twice ,though I am just giving him power to sell min.

My understanding is that you don't have to pay cvt if you are giving PA for your plot to your brother. If you mention this relationship in PA, the concerned authority shall be able to give relief for cvt at the time of registration of PA |

Mr Usa1 if you have paid cvt when you bought a plot then you did not need to pay cvt again if your brother sells the plot on your behalf. Only Buyers have to pay cvt. Sellers are exempted from cvt. |
