Bahria Town and Malik Riaz,

Bahria Town emerged as a trustworthy world class Real Estate Company in Pakistan. In 2005, after it launched Phase 9 in Rawalpindi it suffered loss of credibility for some time but now it is a success story which could have continued to enjoy the trust of its huge client-age for years to come. However the following have adversely effected its credibility:-

1. The current Scandal. And Malik Riaz' unfair use of money which certainly could have been spent on the betterment of its Towns.

2. Malik Riaz's manipulation and subversion of all the pillars of State, no matter it worked or not. It is a proven fact that he himself confesses to have attempted to subvert the Judiciary. We also know that he subverted and manipulated media and is in league with PPP Government. We do not know that how much ingress he has in GHQ but we certainly know that he is partner in the DHAI.

3. Malik Riaz did not need to do that as Bahria was a success story anyway. Instead of spending Billions on the Government functionaries he could have compensated the poor land owners from who he acquired land and against whom he is fighting cases and could have also given relief to his clients.

The question is how safe are those who have few plots in different places in Bahria and who have paid installments through their hard earned money, and who are being asked additional development charges? Well I am worried too. I can only have optimistic approach and pray that the dust settles down. It is hard for me to advise my children(Expatriates) to sell their plots at throw away prices.

I can only hope that the Malik looks towards those who paid their hard earned money to him who "threw" it in the luxurious life style for his family and friends. Foreign tours, luxurious hotels and expensive vacation. He also paid cash and in kind to those who have the power. What do I care that how much CHARITY he gives. The fact is that he made huge profits, which is being thrown away. He could have spend a parentage of this by reducing the ever increasing "Additional Development charges+ possession charges+ Bla Bla charges." It was our money which was ruthlessly used on "who so ever mattered to Malik Sahib".

Let us wait and see.

Malik Riyaz started off as a petty contractor and then bribed his way through to become a real estate tycoon. Looking at the corruption and immoral state of our society, his ambitiousness incited him to use his money to manipulate our state and society. He had attained the status of the Rasputin of Pakistan. He had been luring kids and youngsters to buy their influential parents and attempt on Araslan Iftikhar was no different. MR must have done much much more to build this empire and make ingress into our national institutions. He is now attempting to bring down judiciary which is to me is the last hurdle in the path of corrupt people who are dreaming to have field time in this country. Please learn from this episode and focus on not only taaleem but also tarbiat of our young generation so that they dont fall prey to such conspiracies.

alhumdolila Abubaba,
I agreed 100%.
thkedar Riaz Malik has 4 billion dollar profit, instead of spending this money on bribes instead he should focus on development of Pakistan.

I still cant believe how we can give morality lecture to someone else when we ourselves do these activity. Tell me for any work, do we not give bribe to get it done ? I wanted to sell my land but petwari refused to process my application until i gave him 1000Rs. Its very much normal case.

One credit must go to Malik Riaz, he has delievered what he has promised to the Middle Class. Yes he went through same hurdles which an ordinary citizen goes through his life.

He should not be allowed to run away from pakistan with stolen money.

He has delivered some partial projects only. look at the phase 9, dha valley, etc people have paid him a lot of money but he has not delivered a single plot yet. there are many other partially or totally incomplete projects in pindi and lahore. He has use hard earned money of poor and middle class for his lavish life style, airo plane, bently etc & to bribe to do further looting. Not just bribe he has commited various sort of crimes and qabza to loot poor & middle class families of pakistan.

I think names of riyaz thaikedar should be put on exit control list so that he cannot flee with peoples hard earned money.

Riaz thekedar was a petty thekedar in pindi cantt some years ago. Bribing the officials to get marammat thaikas worst few lakh. He learnt that art of bribe and later added najaiz qabza of shamlot and private lands to his virtues to steal billions from poor and middle class. He is very appropriately called Riaz thekaidar. That is what he is. An idiot who does not know how to speak, or properly read or write writes articles in newspapers (by bribing journalists). Money sure can buy u anything. Loot 1 million people and feed a few hundred and your cronie paid journalists will hype that to buy you respect. Deep beneath you are a chore and petty criminal. Riaz thekaidar is quite a polite title for this filthy idiot who thinks he can buy every person in the world with the charm of his haram money.
