A friend of mine wants to go to bahrain from riyadh on coming eid holidays. His car is on bank name as it is a car taken on lease. Can he take his car to bahrain, if yes ...are there any formalities that he needs to undergo !!Thanks

He will need an NOC from the concerned bank and for that purpose he will have to deposit the outstanding loan amount as security. he can take back this security on return. |

How about taking a rented car, what kind of papers does one require for that!! thanks for you reply Bilal, but depositing all the outstanding money as security would be quite a task for him :( |

If u rent it out, even then NOC will be required from the car owner.
Also, make sure you get the car insurance for bahrain as well.
I understand its a difficult thing to do, the only possibility then is to get a car from friend and ask him to give an NOC as well or travel alongwith him. |

Rental car is no problem, just inform the rental company that you plan to visit Bahrain. They will organise NOC for you. |

In this case he needs an authority letter (Tafweez) from the lessor attested by the chamber of commerce, you may know ownership docs mention in this case that 1.owner of the car 2. user of the car so in other words owner of the car (bank) should authorize the user to travel to bahrain. I give you an example people getting leased cars from toyota and they can get this authority letter from toyota easily if their payments are ok and not delayed, routine matter. hope will solve the purpose. |

It should be from the OWNER, I believe it's bank in your case. |
