Best ap for gps navigation,

Dear friends,
I have got an iPad and want someone to tell me the best app with the help of which I can Travel from Riyadh to Dubai and back. I know there are a number of gps navigators but if someone is more familiar can guide me the one which is having updated middle east maps. Regards

if you have andriod you can also have app function offline, but research online as it worked in USA but not sure in ME.

I am using Tomtom it's quite good. Also Navigon is very good.

just now i have come to know that ipad 3 (wi fi) has no built in gps chip, is it true, ...if so then how these apps will work in ares where there is no wi fi :((
if someone knows some kind of receiver (gps)that one can carry with during the journey, pls do share,

It is true iPAD3 WiFi only does not have built-in GPS receiver. so GPS will not work. See below link and Snapshot Pls.

Dear 'Has I'... or can we now call 'Has I without G'?

In ancient time, like circa 2007 when wheel existed but iPhone wasn't invented yet, those neanderthals used to 'achieve navigation' by looking at road signs and asking each other. They also used to use some paper-age tools called 'maps'. In case you are interested, some antique stores may have those artifacts available for sale. However I doubt if that ancient $2 technology could prove a 'feasible solution' against the brand like iPad, except when viewed on iPad.

If you are determined on achieving navigation through iPad then may be look for something like this...

Sorry Bro, No solution for iPAD3 wifi, Because, there is no GPS receiver in it. There are navigation Apps available for Iphone, Android and Nokia. But the Odd is, they consume too much battery, So the best solution is, use Car Navigation system, (Available in Ryd-Mursalat Phone Market) All NAV are good, But TomTom is best, since it has Arabic name of the roads by Voice navigation and frequently updated. Other are Sygic, GARMIN and NAVIGON. Personally I used all these, But I prefer TomTom & Sygic.

I appreciate the time you have spent in googling :) however i am much interested in knowing someone's personal experience...who has practically utilised the iPad for navigation during the journey.

Dear Has I !
I travelled from Tabuk-Riyadh-Hafuf-Abu Dhabi-Dubai-Sharjah and back last year. I relied on my Nokia E66 for voice guided navigation throughout entire journey. I had downloaded updated maps of SA and UAE before leaving home. It was really amazing.
I would recommend that you buy a nokia and get rid of this I-****.

In fact, there is No pad like iPad, Because, iPad is really touch device, rest all Press Pad. So , Simply exchange your iPad with
iPad3 GSM version. It does support GPS, and then install TomTom or Sygic. I have used on iPad2. Pls. see below SPCS for iPad3 GSM version.

@ Soofi, yes its the last option and i am going to do it now, just disposed off WI FI version to one of my friends as store was not accepting it back after unpacking. Tom Tom is paid, can you suggest some free stuff :)

I suggest, just do Jailbreak to iPad3 (it would Not cause any anomalous) then all Apps are Free, and you can install any paid apps. Via installous or via pc from http://apptrackr.cd/ , if you don't know how to do JB, Pls. goto this site, it would guide you, http://www.idownloadblog.com/2012/05/25/absinthe-2-0-released/ It is so simple, if you still need any help, I feel happy to do so.
