Can anyone guide me about approximate painting/polish job (separately labour and material costs) for a new one Kanal house covered area 4700 sq ft (first time job after new construction).

Hi asim

its all depand what type of material u r going to apply and howz the tech skill of ur painter
ICI /master they are offering the weather shield apprx 7000 per drumme, emulsion around 750 per gallon ,

if u r in pindi/lahore , i can give u some direct contacts of paint manufacturer , u can talk with them and ask for ur demand, the price will b lower yet u will get quality product,

i suggest u to apply wall putty on cement plaster, then go for interior emulsion , buy paint by urself, if you can afford , go for ICI , other wise give the contract to some painter , he will do the task.

Hi Asim,

1. We have used ICI, we applied wall putty on cement plaster and then apply distemper.

2. On front, we used ICI weather shield.

3. In kitchen - paint.

4. On door - polish.

5. Paint on Main Gate and grills.

My covered area is 4100 sq feet, all together. and my expenses was around 2.5 lakh Rupees.

I have paid 140 to painter, I have purchased the material for around 110k.

Check in your area that who is top class painter, you can also consult to dealer, they can refer someone.

Can you guys also comments on the hosues being too cold during winter and too hot during summber.
I have been living in USA for last 25 years. Every year I go back to Pakistan during month of December and notice that inside homes are very cold.

I am wondering if this has to do with all briks and cement and insulaiton.
Exerpt please shed some light.
