@ UAE
Reading & dealing paradoxical issues, variety of opinions have been my interest since my university days. I can tell you from the cores of my heart that people like Khurshid Nadeem, Javed Ghamidi, Dr Khalid Zaheer,Dr Amjad Saqib are the true essence of our society. You will never listen them talking about nitties gitties but rather they talk about being human, humble and respectable to every one.

Never build your perception for ANYONE merely on listening until you don't meet or read him yourself.

Khan replied on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 05:51 PM

Once when I was in my 30's( I am now in my late 70's) I asked a scholar about following a peer or a "maslik". His answer was that nearly 99% of the times your heart which is where Allah is always there, will tell you what is right or wrong (only if you honestly listen and follow it).Only 1% issues are such where you might have some confusion . At that stage pose that question to two three such scholars who you think are good and then follow the that ANSWER which appeals to your "heart". Heart again is the key. Please get out of the old rut as to what belief or sect a particular person belongs. Listen to them with open heart and mind and follow which you honestly believe is more convincing to you.

@UAE

Thank you so much for your advice. I live abroad and had not heard about Ghamidi Sb, but now, after reading extensively about his beliefs, I don't think I'd ever want my kids to study there.

TAHIR replied on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 09:04 PM

Many thanks for all of your feedback.
JA

I visited the website of both schools. I will inshahAllah pay my visits to not even these schools but many more when i am in Lahore

I dont mind anybody doing any good work for the sake of Islam but not for the sake of his own Jamat or Aqeeda.

I am not looking for co education modern Islamic school but I am looking for a girls only traditional value school with conventional education.

May Allah show me and others right path...Ameen

UAE-2: What did you read about gamdi sahib that has scared you so much that you will never admit your kids there. Just elaborate the source and its credibility. I may differ with his views but I think he is one of leading contemporary scholar. Thank you.

i am also surprised to read the thoughts of mr UAE2.what did you read here about him that you did toba not to send your children in his school.
reality is this i am too much inspired with ghamidi i wish to send my children in ghamdi,s school.

UAE 2 replied on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 03:38 AM

@ Khan / Like to Ghamidi

I am sorry, but I do not want to start a full fledged debate on the issue. Religion is a very sensitive matter. As parents, we strive to bring up our children in the best possible manner. My ideal, as to what I want my daughters to grow up to be, might be very different from yours or someone else's. I let the matter rest there.

ps: My opinion is NOT influenced by any jamat preference, etc.

gauhar replied on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 05:28 AM

@ DEAR UAE2, as I know this school is a traditional type O-LEVEL, A-LEVEL SCHOOL with islamic touch(not related with any maslik .GAMIDI SB are in malaysia,who establish this school),sunee sunaee batun per raye qaime nahee karnee chahyae, this can be misguide others.

UAE 2 replied on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 06:39 AM

@gauhar

Maybe you did not understand my post above. I stated clearly that we are all entitled to have our opinions and ideals. Let me reply once and for all, that my intention is/ was not to misguide anyone whatsoever, God forbid. Alhamdulillah, most, if not all members of this forum are learned people whom are capable enough of making their own decisions based on their best understanding of each issue.
Sorry to disappoint you, but your "sunee sunaee baton" cap does't fit.

Apologies is advance to anyone else who wishes to reply to me as I have no intention of discussing this issue any further.

gauhar replied on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 08:16 AM

@UAE2, if cap does not fit... accept apology from my side.thank you for your clarification.
