( An important email reply being copied here for LRE website visitors and contributors. JFYI )
Dear Mr. ... ...,
There are some people, very few in numbers but very "religious" about disrupting discussions or trying to manipulate discussions by unfair means including using multiple names within the same thread, or more advanced methods, occasionally abusing the ads/discussions forum for different reasons like saving a few bucks on their prospective buying requirements, OR getting their frustration out if they have missed some train or have lost in the past for being in a wrong place at a wrong time, OR just for fun, among other things. Now, in order to limit these disruptive/abusive elements (and of course to also control spamming/porn links by robots, etc.), we introduced filtering system and other control measures which have proved essential in order to run the site smoothly and in decent manner.
In recent months the kind of activity mentioned above has increased by many folds, and it was not feasible to run the forum in a smooth manner without further adding some relatively common words/phrases/combinations to the filter for review mechanism by Mr. CMY, and other administrators, some on temporary and other on permanent basis. While it is helpful in controlling dozens (and sometimes 100s if we include the robot traffic), many legitimate posts are now being increasingly affected which our moderators review and post manually. You must certainly have witnessed and experienced it yourself.
In this age of dynamic IPs it is a growing concern as more and more frequently some of those IPs or IP prefixes are getting shared by legitimate and illegitimate posters mentioned above. It is very hard to balance things, but we are trying our best. There is however no "For Sure Fix".
Moderators and administrators use their discretion to create exceptions, regarding blocking/unblocking individuals/shared IPs. Unblocking is much harder than blocking. On case to case basis we try to create exceptions but still some legitimate posts and posters get affected from time to time.
Regarding Mr. .., due to some technical reasons, we would request that he post using a longer name like ... ..., or ... ..., and if he gets an error, immediately forward that post to LRE.Ads@GMail.com with reference to this email. Hopefully that will help us in narrowing down the problem and reasonable resolution of the issue, but do keep in mind that occasionally many legitimate posters including LRE staff and admin are facing this issue due to dynamic shared IPs, AND in all likelihood it is very possible that some of posts get blocked by the filter and taken care of manually. In such case, if it is not manually posted within a few hours, please do send an email to LRE.Ads@GMail.com.
Many thanks for your understanding and bearing it with us. We feel sorry for the unintended inconvenience.
Sincerely,

Respected Admin, It has been posted a thread some time ago to use a registered login name before posting any comments but LRE Admin its not feasible for user to go through this process but I'm sure everyone should have a registered account/id with LRE before they can post anything which make sense but its up to LRE Admin if they want to continue this issue causing stuff or allow to registere before they can do anything. It would be handy if you can ask users to start registering their email/id to post anything on LRE. Thanks in advance and would appreciate your comments. Regards, ABDUL |

Dear LRE, With all the fan club that you guys have gathered; why don't you simply place a system; wherein everyone gets to have a "registered ID/account" for "posting" their comments. This will relieve the site of ficticious personalities and help you guys monitor your "progress/popularity" by the number of new clients that join in; rather than just the number of "hits". Regards, |
