"Our" Supreme Court gave us dual citizens a special gift today! Now if we plea for something in Supreme Court, or by precedent may be in other institutions too, we may be required to prove our "Khuloos-e-Niyyat"!!!

Adeel replied on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 04:52 PM

Seems to be pathetic and biased decision

bilal replied on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 05:41 PM

Ashar replied on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 06:20 PM

Brothers,
I am also dual national and I thing qadri totally deserves this treatment. He is big lier and mentally I'll person. You just watch his statements which he gave in international news channels. Even after watching those videos if you believe he is right person then I can assure u we deserve the Zardari as our president.

Sab sai pehlai Pakistan replied on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 06:55 PM

I am also dual national and I completely agree with brother Ashar, qadri really deserve this and after this Honour he should be on ground because he was flying in sky before.

Mian Sohaib replied on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 07:25 PM

supreme court indeed insulted Qadri. What Did Qadari Ask? He just wanted Independent Election commission nothing else? The proceeding should have to be related this but Our honorable judges started to proceed dual nationality. This decision is not only biased but also humiliated. Sorry to say but it seems that SC favors only Mian brotheran. simply it was a Shameful verdic.

RANA replied on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 08:05 PM

I agree with Mian Sohaib.CJ should formally join PML N

Siddique replied on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 10:06 PM

@ Asher, when we'll hold elections in unfair way than zardari has the best chance to come out as winner.

Be careful, most of judges are dual nationals, incl. attorney general of Pakistan.. had they proved their 'kholos-e-niyat'

Chaudhry Mateen replied on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 10:44 PM

This is very unfortunate. Instead of looking into the actual petition and make decision in the light of constitution, the SC/CJ took a wrong approach.

Waseem Malik replied on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 10:53 PM

SC decision jeopardizes its credibility.

TA replied on Thursday, February 14, 2013 12:32 AM

Brothers

It was three SC judges who threw the case out not only CJ. Please consider other points raised by CJ

This EC is working more than 2 years now and have conducted 342 bielections till date and no one came in court to say...Dissolve this

EC becz its biased?

why qadri sb is coming now just before elections to dissolve this constitutional institution?

Why there is no other Pakistani? not even in his own Jamat anybody who is a complete Pakistani was able to put forward this petition? specially when he admits that he is a dual national and cant be part of any constitutional organization.

Hope it clear something

someone replied on Thursday, February 14, 2013 02:14 AM

supreme court standards are different on petitions which are in interests of nawaz sharif but different standard on petitions which go against interests of nawaz sharif. could that be because chief justice is first cousin of pmln stalwart rana sanaullah?

Ex CJ Lover replied on Thursday, February 14, 2013 02:41 AM

I had a lot of respect for chief justice but that illusion is no more.

This case clearly shows that chief justice had mala fide intention from day one. He chose the bench with 2 like minded SC judges. They had already decided what to do and did not even listen to any argument of Dr Qadri. I tend to believe that most other judges of SC would not have supported CJ mala fide, biased and illogical intent in this case that is why he chose those 2 judges and his usual counter parts on the benches including him were not part of this bench due to specific design just for this case. Every neutral person could see the hidden agenda here to insult Dr Qadri on behalf of the PM in waiting Nawaz Sharif. Despite being a National of Pakistan by birth and totally according the the constitution of Pakistan, Dr Qadri was repeatedly ridiculed by this biased bench and was not allowed to utter a single word regarding the real matter of the case at hand. They had decided not to listen and from day one they had decided the verdict. They dragged it for 3 days just to humiliate and ridicule Dr. Qadri as much as possible (along with all overseas Pakistanis in general, and particularly dual citizenship holder but Pakistan lovers to the core, by birth).

When Dr Qadri reminded CJ that he had himself taken oath of allegiance to PCO of Pervez Musharaf and took oath to be loyal to dictator and martial law administrator Pervez Musharaf whereas several other senior and honourable judges chose to resign instead of taking oath of loyalty to the dictator (the oath which he later broke when the dictator asked him to resign, and then he became a champion of justice; people of Pakistan befooled & befouled as usual). The fact is CJ himself is a PCO judge, and saying that is no contempt of court. It is a fact. No body has any doubt about it. CJ did not have any answer to this logical question so he stopped Dr Qadri from further showing him the facts.

Many people thought until this case that CJ was impartial and stood for justice (even let go the thought of him being PCO judge himself), but now he and his questionable loyalty to Nawaz Shareef is exposed. He has lost any respect I had for him and majority of local and overseas Pakistanis who thought of him to be loyal to Pakistan (not PMLN), unbiased and just. I also tend to believe now that he has made a deal under hand with Nawaz Shareef, that he will support NS in any way and NS will give him extension & keep him plus his family "happy".

I always supported chief justice, but I was so naive. He is part and parcel of the corrupt status quo, the same system that has brought Pakistan to this miserable state. He is anti PPP and pro PMLN and he is certainly not neutral or just. Now I think arsalan iftikhar case also had some truth to it, and just when CJ was ready to be exposed, he preempted by turning the table. Now it seems stopping shoaib suddle commission abruptly, and compromising at last on the swiss letter, and dozens of other compromises at last may have had certain price.

CJ is biased to the core. He is a PCO judge. His loyalty to Pakistan is in question and being a PCO judge he should go home like the other PCO judges he sent home. Arsalan Iftikhar case should be revived ASAP for the sake of future of Pakistan and to break this status quo arrangement of the corrupt elite of Pakistan.

(It's not a matter of personal likeness or dislikeness of Dr Qadri. It's a matter of justice and future of Pakistan.)

Asad replied on Thursday, February 14, 2013 02:44 AM

Pathetic situation of our judiciary .
Earlier the chief justice of Lahore high court Khawaja something was proud to be a friend ( servant) of sharif family and now the honourable chief justice of supreme court is showing his loyalties.
Well said by RANA, CJ should formally join PML(N).

Ashar replied on Thursday, February 14, 2013 03:05 AM

Guys,
The way Qadri starts his campaign to become care taker PM for Pakistan do you still feels that he was sicere and loyal to the Pakistan. Most of our country big peoples are corrupt and had bad history. But please let the democracy go in his way. Atleast 5% peoples understanding the importance of there vote. We cannot change the whole system in one night but atleast can support it rather then supporting peoples like Qadri.

zahid replied on Thursday, February 14, 2013 05:33 AM

Come on guys !! we should not compare qadri with all other corrupt politicians. He is far better then those.
SC should have decide the case on merit by looking at the substance of petition as per LAW, not the "person" who is the petitioner.
SC credibility is hurt...however we should wait for the detailed judgement before commenting on media news from the court room.

MAS, Kuwait replied on Thursday, February 14, 2013 05:34 AM

I am in full favour of the decision taken by the SC

We overseas & dual nationality holder are working so hard to fulfill over dreams which we are not able to attain while living in Pakistan.

How many of us want to go back to take part in politics.
I will not say all but may be 99% of people who want to participate in politics are people like Musharaf, Rahman Malik, Qadri, and you can have a whole list of hundred of peoples like them. So they can do what ever they want to do in Pakistan and when the law want to reach them, they have an easy escape in form of dual nationality.

So my Salam and best wishes for CJ on taking this decision.

In my opinion they have to expand this law to military and civil servants also.

shahid replied on Thursday, February 14, 2013 07:18 AM

My friends, What all of us are talking about is " Nazri- e - Zroorat". If we can appreciate, then we see that our country is emerging as new Pakistan. It is a country where Judiciary is independent, media is independent and first democratic government is completing its 5 years tenure. Although things are in rudimentary state, but I am hopeful about the future of Country. Therefore, any effort to malign the institutions is not fair. If at all Qadri Sb thinks that what ever he talks is according to the Law, then he should have not forced the court to bye pass the law and follow the " Nazri- e - Zroorat", rather he should file the petition through his other party member. I think we should not degrade the credibility of our court & must encourage our judges to take decision according to Law and must not criticize them to satisfy our political affiliations. thanks.

In Punjabi we say:
CHOPRIAN - TE 2 2
STAYING IN CANADA and at the same time MASSEHA PAKISTAN

HE is Pakistani ONLY in Pakistan and for JAHIL PAKISTANIS.
For the rest of the world HE introduces HIMSELF as CANADIAN (as he told the SC)
BUT STILL WE THINK HIM DARDMAND / PUR KHALOOS AND WANT TO CRITICIZE SC & CJ FOR A HYPOCRITE.

Mian Sohaib replied on Thursday, February 14, 2013 08:26 AM

Mr Ashar amd MAS, Kuwait here people are not supporting Qadri in this sense whether he is loyal, sincere etc. They are talking about the approach of SC and also speaking on the attitude of those so called honorable judges. They did not look the petition. They only kept their eyes on Qadri's dual nationality. It seemed that the petition was about dual nationality. Sc court should have set aside the petition on the first day instead of unnecessarily humiliated Qadri for three days and they not care of constitution and human rights. Almost all nation expect ( stupid media and few other people) really feel bad on this ungraceful verdict. We all have lots of expectations from SC court but it has really disappointed us.

AbdulElah replied on Thursday, February 14, 2013 08:48 AM

CJ and Supreme court Zindaabad.
Supreme court has proved that it is not part of any conspiracy.

CJ Khuloos-e-Niyyat replied on Thursday, February 14, 2013 09:01 AM

Arsalan Iftikhar's "Khuloos-e-Niyyat" carried him from grade C in intermediate to medical in govt medical college and then to deputy director of FIA at the magical high speed in few years. Now the nalaaiq chota don is a businessman worth 85+ Crore according to his own statements. Can someone ask the PCO CJ about the degree of his "Khuloos-e-Niyyat" and his son's. But no he is sacred cow, right? The avatar sent by God who cannot be questioned and who thinks he himself is above the law.

Dr. Arsalan Iftikhar chaudhry is the chief justice’s elder son. His name has come forth for the second time in a debate. Dr. Arsalan is also the son-in-law of an ex-army general, Major General Zia-ul- Haq. In spite of recieving a C grade in intermediated, Arsalan Iftikhar got admission into Bolan Mediacal College on the quota reserved for the chief minister. After being appointed as a medical officer for only 26 days, he was choosen as a section officer in the department of Health. Before the issuing of the notification of his engagement in the Balochistan Health Department, the federal government had previously requested his services. The Balochistan govt accepted the application of the federal govt and Dr. Arsalan was posted in grade 17 as an assistant director F.I.A in May 2006, Dr. Arsalan was endorsed to grade 18 as deputy director F.I.A from where he was sent to the National Police Academy for training. On the other hand it must be noted that upon supreme judicial council reference’s aallegations against him, he had resigned from government service. Nowadays he is involved in controveersay of taken on allegations that Dr Arsalan Iftikhar had been doled out Rs300 to 400 million by property tycoon Malik Riaz.

Ex CJ Lover, you have excellently laid down the facts and i fully agree with all what you said but our biased media has brain washed the ordinary people to the extent that they have started talking and thinking as media wants.
