The plight of the LDA avenue one allottees.
Well gentleman this is the story of those people who have very little say in the Republic of the pure, yes i am talking about the government servants of
Pakistan. The LDA launched a housing society by the name of Ldaavenue one in 2002.They collected money from the successful allottees in the form of
installements which were regularly paid. After a while the LDA declared that
many of the plots came under litigation and the cases are in the court and such plot holders cannot sell their files. Now it is 11 years since this scheme was launched and the LDA still says that the cases are in the courts and cannot do anything about it.Now the affected allottees are almost retired or on the verge of retirement and this is the time that they require their hard earned money all the more. Will Khadim-e-alah do some thing in the start of his this tenure which he could not do in his previous tenure,or leave the affected allottees to the mercy of LDA staff.

It is a very genuine request. LDA had many a times in the past assured that the litigation will soon be resolved in “couple of months” but no progress is yet visible. LDA should not be oblivious of its moral responsibility and continue apathetic attitude to let their older colleagues suffer. It should realize that this scheme was intended for the retired and the retiring government servants who had pooled up their lifetime savings to get an abode for them or dispose it off to finance their most pressing needs. The affected members whose plots are in litigation due to no fault of theirs’ are requesting an immediate remedy to their sufferings. Some also suggested that a transfer mechanism be put in place for such members who might wish to sell their rights to fulfill their most compelling needs that are frustrating them at this old age in life.Should there be any constraints in formal transfer due to litigation; a suitable regulatory or judicial instrument might be adopted as an interim arrangement to transfer the rights of said plot to save the interest of all such transactions, particularly when the original allottees are retired/senior citizens and need the plots to accomplish some of their most pressing social obligations in such advance stage of their lives! |
