Dear LRE team and forum visitors

I own two 8 marla plots in DHA valley islamabad and since a long time ive been trying to dispose them off as i beleieved they are a sunk investment. till last month dealers were willing to buy them @ -200,000 each plot. i am in touch with quite a few dealers to dispose them off. since last week alot of dealers have called me up and now are offering +50,000 each plot.why this increase in DHA valley plots all of a sudden? i visited the area a weeks back and was dissappointed by the pace of development work. i hardly saw any machinery and work seemed stalled.

should i hold the plots for any future gains or dispose them off. a handsome profit of 100,000 on both plots doesnt seem that bad. i booked them in december 2008. its the first time they have showed any increase in price in these 5 years...

I also have two plots in this disappointing project.
I live in Dubai and come to Pakistan once an year.
I expect sincere advise from all brothers on this forum.
Shall i sell these once i come to Pakistan in September or wait for a couple of years.
Plz share ur comments to help a Paki brother away from home and demoralized by DHA valley islamabad.

@ Donny Darko & Hafeez : From what I know of this project, development work is going on in the overseas block's i.e Sunflower, Magnolia and Boganvilla. It was earlier claimed by DHA (in 2012) that they will start handing over 2 sectors by end 2013, and the 3rd sector in 2014. Property price rise (as indicated in ur message) probably also testifies to this. However, I am not very well-informed on today's progress.

i am perplexed because i hardly saw any development work going on at the site a few weeks ago and i am not sure whether this increase in price is genuine or dealer speculation... i am constructing a house in dha phase 6, lhr, i might sell them off and use the money there. really not sure... need some serious guidance, because i am tired of holding these plots for almost 5 years, i never intended to hold them as a long term investment..

hi guys , how r u ?? m also v confused, the sudden hike in price is very confusing, as there is no practical development work there, i approached there from kallar syieadn side , and saw DHA homes, but no other develments, so i think that its better to dispose at this stage , but on the other hand i think that there is some other story also behind this , so its 50 50. they will give possession if any , in 2015.
