Dear Admin,
This is not a property related ad or question. Would appreciate if you allow me to use this forum to get some info regarding some medical issue.
I live in Lahore and looking for a very good orthopedic consultant.
My daughter is suffering from pain in her knee. There is swelling and also liquid collection in the knee. It is hard to bend from knee joint. I am afraid of any knee injury which is not detectable by X-ray. Would appreciate if any brother suggests a good consultant in this regard.

if she is less then 12 years then there is a famous paediatric orthopedician in DHA k Block commercial market and if she is above 12 years then go for Dr. Zia Bajwa in Cavalry Hospital , Lahore....he is excellent and I myself have worked with him....May Allah give her good health...

Dr. Ahsan Shameem (Shaukat Khanum) get appointment in waiting and spend 5 to 6 hours there for your turn , otherwise 2 months waiting line , my mother couldn't walk upto washroom from last 10 years , but we changed both knees ( transplant ) Alhamdulliah now she can walk hours, the best Dr in pakistan

Dr Syed Bashart Ali, he is ver kind and honest man, didn't guide you wrong. As per my last meeting with him around 3 years back, he was in Rasheed hospital defence Lahore, don't know where he is now.

Please must go to him inshallah he will help in this regard.

My dear if xray is not showing any injury and she does not has history of trauma,then swelling and stiffness is sign of ARTHRITIS(Infection of joint)so first should be seen by Physcian.if blood test and synovial fluid taken by tapping confirms infection then should be treated with antibiotis.But if there is history of trauma should be done MRI for joint to rule out ligament tear and if so then needs orthopedic surgeon

As someone suggested, I also have very good experience with Dr. Amir Aziz. He also sits in Surgi Med Hospital on Zafar Ali road, near Mall Road. You can check and take appointment.

I have an appointment with my wife on I think 21st of this month, which I am not availing, as my plans to visit Pakistan changed and I am currently in Saudi Arabia. You can contact me and I can provide you some information and inshaAllah you will be able to use it. Otherwise, you may need to wait for about 3 months.

Dr Hamid Quyyum.and Dr Aftab Ahmed both r very good orthopedic surgeans. Dr Hamid sits in Ihsan Mumraz hospital in johar town and Dr. Aftab Ahmed sits in National hospital.

you can also consult with Dr.Khalil Ur Rehman in Shadman Hospital opposite Fatima Memorial, coz i think this issue can also be due to arthritis.

Dear All,
I appreciate very much for taking part in suggesting the right physician/consultant for my daughter. I have already done some blood tests and doctor at Bahria hospital has eliminated the possibility of any infection. The liquid was extracted from her knee and was tested but no sign of infection or shown any reason for swelling. Now I shall take your advice and would arrange for an appointment with any of the above consultants/doctors.
