Dear Readers If any body have Johar Town Lahore area experience can share and suggest as I have 3.80 marla corner commercial plot in J2 block of Johar Town 2 Lahore. I m thinking to build two shops at ground floor, one reception room and then three furnished rooms on each floor at upper 3 floors so total will be 9 rooms with attach bath. My question is, Is there demand for furnished rooms on daily/weekly or monthly rent basis or I should simply make 3 flats have 2 bed rooms on each floor for rent. Please guide in this regard as I don't have any idea and I m in Dubai.

You can make furnished hostel.rooms as you know pifd students live in good furnished rooms. Hotels like occupancy will flop in J2. Either go for furnshid hostel rooms or simply the flats. Simple flats are easy to handle too. (I am.your neighbour so know the ground well)

Ibrahim dear. Your idea of furnished rooms with Reception is very good and can be rewarding ONLY with effective and efficient Management otherwise flats as suggested by gentleman asaaaa . Also please keep in mind that just in the same vicinity are big hotel & apartment complex in Expo center underway which might affect your plans.
Ibrahim dear of DXB, I'm in USA, and have some property in Johar Town close to Canal as well. If you remember you was the first to answer my Qs re recent ballot of Phase 9 investments. Thanks once again; I follow your postings which are quite helpful for all.

Many thanks to asaaaa and Tahir Sahib: Your both's suggestion for furnished apartment seems will give better rate of return than simple flat. Many thanks again.
