Guys any update on this road and LRR delay news ?? yesterday there was a rumour regarding LRR project being shelved or postsponed for now.

LRR will be completed in three phases
1) Sui Gas Phase2 to Ferozpur road (Gajuu Matta) till 2018
2) Gajju Matta to Raiwind Road After 2018 election
3) Raiwind road to Multan Road After 2018 election
Reasons;
-No party is ready to construct LRR on BOT basis
- All concentration is on Metro Train
- Punjab Govt lack of funds
- Alternative Raiwind road and other roads will minimize the significance of LRR for at least 5 years.

Alternate Raiwind Road is being constructed because LRR intercahnge construction will block Raiwind Road and VIP movement will not be possible. Alternate road is being constructed as prerequisite of LRR

No one ever bothered to think why government is making alternate road in such hurry when Raiwind Road is being widened as well . The reason is nothing but LRR.

I feel LRR is being delayed due to its high budget and less use of existing LRR [Not populated area], Govt want to divert more money to more populated areas. That is why low budget Alternate Raiwind road is on fast track. this alone will benefit all societies on Riawind road.
