Dear Iqbal, it all depends on your horizon, risk profile and cash requirements so if you have high risk profile, little cash requirements now and can hold long term, the move would be good, otherwise not. Personally, i like capital gains better as compared to rentals because of several reasons but you take a decision considering your personal conditions. Also one more important point is the quantum of capital gains that you can expect. For example, if Y block mature property (one of the best locations so far) is at 625 lacs, this is probably the limit for any DHA phase in present value terms so see what can of an upside can you expect? What my point is that there may not be much of an upside left if you invest at a wrong place. |
