I went to Askari Bank in Model Town this morning. There is a very large number of people subscribing for DHA ballot. I asked a person from the bank and he said that the branch has already received hundreds of applications and in the first half hour of the day, about 10 more applications had come. Now, this is story of just one branch out of hundreds of Askari Bank branches and we are still few days from the application deadline. The person said that majority of the applications are for 10M plots. Next is 1K and after that, 2 marla commercial while they had not received a single application of any 2 Kanal plot. I am not an expert at all but based on what I saw, my recommendation for those who are participating in ballot will be to go for big ticket items (2K Residential and 4M/8M Commercial) as odds for getting any decent located or good priced smaller plots seem low. I will like the experts to comment on the trend that they have seen so far.

I went to the same branch and it's absolutely correct that majority people are applying for 10M plots as stated by ua..Let's pray and keep fingers crossed.
As per bank staff cash should be submitted along with application as PO/DD will take 2 days to clear and your application will be submitted to DHA once payment is received against PO/DD and one will get receipt upon clearance of payment ( i submitted application today along with PO/DD and will get receipt only on 25 Feb ) |

Your story is not right, I was there from AM. There was no rush. Only me and one other person was there to submit application. Moreover my application reference assigned by bank is less than 20, so less than 20 applications have been received so far at that branch |
