News published today in different newspapers. Lahore Knowledge park is being established in phase 7, between Y and Z blocks. Its really a mega project for Lahore.
An agreement regarding construction of Knowledge Park was signed between Lahore Knowledge Company and Usmani & Co. at the office of Lahore Knowledge Park Company, on Monday.
Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan was also present on the occasion. Chief Executive of Usmani & Co. Asif Usmani and CEO of Lahore Knowledge Park Company Shahid Zaman signed the documents of the agreement.
Talking to the media on the occasion, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that Punjab government is endeavoring for the promotion of knowledge economy through amalgamation of corporate sector and education sector. He said that Lahore Knowledge Park will be constructed on 800 acre land and besides sub-campuses of best universities of the world, offices of business companies of international repute will be set up at Lahore Knowledge Park.
The provincial minister disclosed that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has allocated a huge amount of 21 billion rupees for this project recently. He said that IT University will establish its new campus in Lahore Knowledge Park and a land has been earmarked for this purpose. He said that the secret of resolution of our all problems lies in the promotion of education.

For your information, Knowledge Park sign board has already installed at Phase 6, E-Block since last 3 months. Location is phase 6, E-block |

the only place avaibake in this area is Rakh dera chal reserved area
its a huge empty land reserved for big projects like this
previously it was decided to bring GOR or US consulate in this area |

@Ahmed: Yes you are right. It starts from E-block of phase 6, but stretches up to Y block of phase 7, touches both Z1 and Z2 blocks of phase 7.
The company will prepare the detailed engineering plan for it within six months, its infrastructure development will start soon after. |
