Hi All,

I am currently living in Sweden and was unable to transfer my money to Pakistan for a plot I wanted to buy. My bank was asking for a proof for the purpose for which money will be used in Pakistan.

Has anyone living abroad (especially Europe) faced the same situation? If so, how have they provided a proof when the property can only be bought once the money is in hand?

My bank has blocked my international funds transfer and it has affected me really badly since I wanted to buy a plot in prism 2,3 months back when the prices were in my budget.

Thanks for your time.

-Nabil

I have been in the same situation in the UK and have successfully transferred plenty of funds to Pakistan. Tell me your email and I'll guide you properly for alternate way to transfer funds.

Just divide money during transfer...because this check is on a specific amount of money... you should not send more then that amount in once...

Sweden is a civilized country. Such restriction seems strange if you are transferring money from your own account!

I live in a Middle Eastern country with too many restrictions everywhere, but sending money from your own bank account is no problem and no limmit.

@Flex01 I actually have no issues as such to mention here. But I wanted to answer him personally so that he will be better guided. Everything can't be explained properly here.

Anyways, if that helps, then OK.

Use Western Union Sweden online website. Add a payee in Pakistan. Even though WU has restrictions of 3000 Euros per transaction, but you can make 10 transactions in 10 days and transfer 4 million PKR easily. You set up the payee, enter amount, and WU asks you to pay online locally in their Sweden based account. Now WU gets that payment from you. And you have made a local transfer. WU receives it immediately, take a couple of hours to recognize and confirm transfer. Within 1-2 days, or even same day sometimes, WU local agent in Pakistan transfers funds to your Pakistani payee. The whole process is the safest, reliable and easiest. On top of that, no transfer fees, and best exchange rate. For example if Euro is 108, you get 107.60 with WU. You avoid heavy bank fees and extreme exchange rates charged by banks. And it's personal experience, I have been doing it for 5 years now.
