In a proactive move to combat the rise of illegal housing schemes, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued directives to marketing companies, ordering them to cease the promotion of these illicit projects. The news, reported on November 22, sheds light on the RDA's efforts to curb the proliferation of unauthorized housing schemes.


An unnamed spokesperson for the RDA revealed that the authority has issued notices to several marketing firms, compelling them to immediately stop advertising activities related to illegal housing projects. Additionally, the RDA's Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate has joined the initiative, issuing notices to proprietors of YouTube channels and marketing companies. These notices explicitly instruct them to discontinue the promotion of illegal housing schemes on YouTube and various other social media platforms.


The spokesperson underscored the serious concern posed by the growing trend of illegal housing projects exploiting YouTube channels and other platforms for publicity. The RDA is resolute in its commitment to preventing these misleading advertisements from deceiving unsuspecting citizens and distorting the reality of such ventures. This decisive action aims to protect the public from falling victim to false representations and uphold the integrity of housing initiatives in the region.

DHA Gujranwala Unveils a Step-by-Step Guide for Sector C & G Possession


Gujranwala's Defence Housing Authority (DHA) has recently shared a comprehensive guide detailing the process of obtaining possession in Sector C & G. This informative guide, presented through an instructional video on the official Facebook page on November 20, aims to assist individuals in navigating the possession acquisition process smoothly.


Here is a breakdown of the possession procedure:


Step 1: Submission of Initial Documents Begin by submitting the following documents:



  • Two possession forms

  • Photocopy of the allotment letter

  • Photocopy of CNIC


Step 2: Submission of House Drawing and Soil Test Next, proceed with the submission of the proposed drawing of your house and provide a report of the original soil test.


Step 3: Further Documentation In this step, you'll be required to provide the following items:



  • Demarcation form

  • NOC from Finance

  • Undertaking of own water supply and stacking of material and temporary hut

  • Copy of the paid challan for possession charges

  • Photocopy of drawing approval letter by DHA

  • Undertaking for a temporary electric connection in the water supply line


Step 4: Water and Sewage Connection Application Submit the application form for water and sewage connections, along with the original and photocopy of the paid challan for water and sewerage connection. Include two photographs of the house and photocopies of the site plan, CNIC, and paid bill.


Step 5: Completion Certificate Application Conclude the process by submitting an application to the Director of Building Control, including photographs of the house and two approved drawings on ammonia print. Also, include the original paid challan for the completion certificate fee, along with photocopies of the paid challan for water and sewerage, DHA letter for water and sewerage connection, and CNIC.


Note: The entire possession process is anticipated to be finalized within 30 days.


This step-by-step guide ensures that potential homeowners in DHA Gujranwala can navigate the possession acquisition process efficiently, making their journey toward homeownership a seamless one.
