Phase 6, Phase 7 and Phase 8

Salaam all,

I want to know what is a better investment for a future home between Phase 6, Phase 7 and Phase 8. I would be looking into a 10 Marla plot. Please provide details and the future outlook for each Phase as to what would be available in each Phase for living and family (i.e. community, shopping, attractions, etc).

@Hamza do not get discouraged by fazool comments. You will definately eventaully win. I am myself an engineer and my classmates who went your way many years ago are offering jobs to people like us. They had tough few years in the start but are doing exteremly well now.

I am totally agree with MAK,KSA. ALso Look Tonio comment about cananda, he is saying go to canada they will right away offer you a good job because you are an engineer form Pakistan and also they will offer you $$$$$ in millions.
I assure you if you will go to cananda or usa you will drive taxi or truck for few years or may be security job.
Borther work hard in Pakistan a lot of scope.

Dear Hamza, me and my sister's family got canadian residency last year and we decided not to take it. It is frankly not worth going there, life is too difficult and you are an alien, no good, believe me. I live in the Gulf and plan to come back to Pakistan in a few years. I am not a civil engineer but am planning to do the same thing, buy plots and build to sell. My cousin and uncle do the same business, started at small level but now they are very rich and doing really well. Hard work, honesty, dedication and strong belief in God will guide you and open closed doors for you. There are plenty of people with loads of money in Pakistan and you can find some investor to finance this business whereby you work, he invests and you both share. Good luck.

Yaar get some experience in structural from nespak / halcrow here in Pakistan . Go to Qatar especially mentioned Qatar bcoz of civil boom there due to world cup . earn for 5 to 6 years and start your own business .

i am related to chartered accountancy profession and and currently an auditor in construction company in gulf.me too planning for the same business and i always feel that i can do better this job of constructing houses and selling these than anyone else. my brother who is just matric pass is doing same in Pakistan. brother dont hesitate and by having faith on Allah start your own business. you are a qualified Civil engineer and there would be many people who will be willing to invest as partner with you.

Very good idea. Let me suggest you something. I am an very old (70 years ago) engineering graduate. Did a private job and a government job. Worked abroad and did my own business.

If you do not have any practical background or business is not in your family then you must work in some construction company/job for at least 2-3 years. That way you would learn for real what you have learnt in the university. Every time you see something being done in a way co relate it with what you have studied(logic). You would be surprised to learn that how much you know and how much you don't know.
Try to get field job and with some good employer in respect of work not necessarily salary.

Once you have done that apprenticeship. Leave the job right away and with trust in Allah start your own work. No job should be small. Give each your best. It will take you 2-3 years of hard and honest work. Then ishallah work and clients will run after you to take their job.

i am an engineer myself, and would like to give you right advice. You MUST join some reputed civil engineering firm and gain at-least 5 years of experience over there before going for your own business. We are taught only 20% of the applied things in university and the rest we get from good experience in some good company. Its good to be ambitious but never over estimate yourself.

i will appreciate the LRE team on this great work of informing / updating the people at abroad and in Pakistan about current prices, trends in property business and guidance to invest safely.

Here I would like to request the LRE team to please mention the percentage of work completed in phase 8 DHA Lahore. the development was started before more than six months but here LRE still mentioning as if the development is started now. As per my knowledge the development in phase 8 is going on at fast pace.

At this stage no one can give you % of development completed. Please note DHA 8 development completion deadline is mid 2015.

Recently we have lot of debate of Bahria Town Sector D, E and F and its rift with LDA and IQBAL town planning.

Does anybody have any update over this matter. How things shaping up, because I plan to invest in Sector F. Last time, I visited Sectyor E last time with lot of development there especially Mosque

I was in Lahore untill 21st of March, have been visiting Bahria for consecutive 3 days in search of an on ground plot or invest in F. Almost all registered Bahria dealers were recommending booking in F, but none of them had clue of exact location of the sector and my family friends living in Bahria recommended to stay away from F until things get clear. Which most probably, would get "cleared" by Malik Riaz. Plots of good locations in E are 90% with registered dealers, and I too ended up buying a developed 10M plot in Iqbal by paying 700,000 own.
I would recommend everyone eyeing for investing in Bahria to go for an on ground plot, don't be too greedy. Estate market in Bahria is faster than KSE 100 Index, most of the plots aren't confirmed, and prices going higher everyday.

No matter, this was just political issue . there is no need of worry . D & E prices still firm and going up gradually .. almost all developed and even commerical plaza and many house constructed and under process as well .

further Sector F this time little bit dip but you will see after 4-6 month prices will uppp rapidly as this is going to launch a luxury sector . time will come soon when buyer will be there and seller will not interested to sell .

Thanks everybody for their valuable experience. But Amer, Sector E and F face same kind of objections from LDA and TMA. So if you have bought the plot in Sector E den in principle, Sector F should not be a problem.

All have opinion of settling down the issue of SECTOR E and F soon.
