Especially it has become anti PPP forum and promoting Nawaz league. I am impartial person but whtever is going on inpakistan is really worst. I just request to all visitors of this web page for God sake stop permoting ur favourite leaders and parties at least on this forum. There r many other channels where you all express ur ideas and feelings. May Almighty Allah protects our country and give hadiat to all politicians,Generals and people of Pakistan. Aameeen.

Atiq sahib I do respect you for your honest advice and information about the Islamabad property market but PPPP are the largest scumbags ever to be born on this Pak soil. I hope Zardari would just have a heart attack. He hides behind his Whors like Zarzana raja and Gashti rehman and that other Dr. something whore. We have so so many problems and all they can think of is how to control Pakistan. There Neeyat is flaued. A person who has the support of his country men dosent need to make deals with other politicians to stay in power. Do you remember how Zardari got elected, he paid every minister 2.5 caror for there support and the ministers showed the ballot paper to the Chamchas of Zardari before casting there votes. I dont know why the whore BB dident leave this ....... man when she found out he was a Choor, may be because she was just like him. Our people are so so stupid to believe these Choors. I guarantee you that Bilawal's time on Pakistan will not come.

If Nawaz Sharif is so poppular in Pakistan why he does not want to address public meetings in other three provinces of Pakistan. He believes confrontation in politics and this kind of style is very dangerous for our country who is already facing lot of problems.

for the attention of Mr. Amjad
If you reckon addressing the public gathering shows the popularity of a leader, if its true, then why Baynazir was killed! because she was very popular among the masses? Why don't you ask Altaf Hussain to come down to Punjab and address the public gatherings, because he is popular in only Urdu speacking section of people who claim to be "Hindustani" living in Pakistan. We don't need the great debators, orators or the juglars to put the audience into trance, and they get carried awaywith their slogans and speach. We need leaders who can deliver with wisdom and intellect. The nation does not want any leader who will get carried away with sentimental speaches, a man with an empty stomach does not need a good speach or thundering slogan, he needs two ROTIAN, he needs SECURITY, he needs jUSTICE, he needs EQUALITY, he needs HONOUR. DO YOU THINK....your leaders can deliver all that by hust addressing the public gathering?HOW can they deliver some thing which they haven't got themselves? What you DESERVE, YOU HAVE GOT IT. SO FAR RAJA ATTIQUE is concerned he needs to concentrate on Estate property so he can mislead more people to swindle more money in Islamabad area.

Long time ago, highly impressed with Mr. Imran Khan's core principles, i used to send emails to him stating that i am at the service of his party, my life i am putting at his feet, all my life i will devote to PTI for sole purpose of the betterment of the people of Pakistan. I do not want any designation, post or title. I never received any reply.

When the Chief Justice was coming to Pakistan in May 2007 i got a call from a senior leader of PTI. He told me they have read my emails and asked me to come to the airport to receive the CJ. I did as was told, but there was no public transport on that day. So i decided to walk till the airport on that hot summer day. I live in DHA so it's a long distance.

When i reached the Baloch Colony Flyover on Shahra-e-Faisal i was stuck under the bridge for several hours in the firing. It was as if a war is going on. With much difficulty i and a few others managed to run from a side lane, taking the risk of being fired upon us from behind. By the way, nobody knew who is from which party in that crowd. Everybody was just running here and there.

I never got any email, call, or even verbal appreciation, you know, nothing. Not even a salam. I mean, of course i was not asking for a medal, i know what i did was nothing, zero compared to what the real heros of this country do. But when i saw that people who sit in air-conditioned offices get all the recognition and praises, i feel that it's their wealth that's getting them the respect. I have lived in western countries, and i got more respect there as a cleaner than i will ever get in Pakistan. I know that from my whole life's experience.

Later the PTI started their weekly then monthly meetings. Since i was subscribed to the email list, i used to also get the emails in which they would tell where and when the next meeting is taking place. I noticed the talks used to focus mainly on the people's own designations, personal benefits, who will stand for the MPA,MNA, etc., i started to speak out. I used to say that let's forget our own personal interests and focus on Pakistanis. Let's consider PTI as a NGO or a social services provider, and prepare the people to vote for PTI but let's not focus so much on personal gains. Nobody used to listen to me, then even stopped me from speaking. I used to get some hostile glances. Later I even stopped receiving invitations for the meetings.

I noticed that PTI is mainly focusing on the higher class of people, you know, the kind of people you would call "burger" people in our local slang. Their higher leadership is impressed with the elite class, glamorous snobbish English speaking kind of people. I think those people do not represent the masses of Pakistan.

I wrote all this because i notice the overseas Pakistanis are very impressed PTI. What is the guarantee that when they come to power they will not become like PPP and others? Maybe Mr. Imran Khan is the righteous person, but how do we know about the others? Just look at the names of people who had stood for elections on the PTI ticked in previous elections. Those people are such snobs they don't even shake hands with poor people.

Everybody is an angel when they are not in power. What I would like to suggest is that there is a need for a new movement. I am not saying new party because we don't need parties we need Pakistan and more important than Pakistan i think are Pakistanis. It should be called a "BENAAM" movement. Or this movement can be called PNSP (Party Nahi, Sirf Pakistani). There will be no titles, designations in this party. There will be carefully prepared document that each person standing for elections must legally sign in a court of law, and even declare that he will stand resigned automatically if he fails or breaks from the rules of that document. We will tell the masses to vote only for the person who has legally signed that document in front of a magistrate. Even if anybody does not want to vote for a person from this movement they can vote for the opposing person too, but make sure that person has signed in public view that document. The document should be available to the public to verify.

I have thought of what should be mentioned in this documents. I will write more of that later. For now let's talk about why i am saying we need this change. Let's talk of the CJ. For how many years he has been a senior judge? Did he change anything? For over sixty years our judges always bowed to pressures of the qabza group elites classes. I purchased an apartment, have paid full amount but the mafia boss owner of the building refuses to hand over the possession to me. My children could not get a proper education, satisfy their natural hunger for sports, because my capital was stuck up with the "respectable" people of this society. I am not talking about "I". Just giving an example. Where was the CJ when millions of Pakistanis were suffering at the hands of the elites respectable people of this country? I

Musharraf inaugurated the multi-Billion sports club in DHA Karachi. Even the congratulation themselves advertisement in DAWN and other media was in hundreds of millions of rupees. But that Firoun Yazid Musharraf did not think that over 70% people of his so called "Pakistan First" country do not have clean drinking water? MUSHARRAF's name will DEFINITELY go down in history as the world's worst firoun. Safai should start from the top, rewards should start from the bottom. He should have felt ashamed spending our trillions on useless trivialities, giving away our natural reserves worth trillions for free to his "white" masters with whom he felt so impressed. The reason i mention this here is show the similarity with PTI. They are also very impressed with the "posh" people. Their party is being run only by these people. What does that show about their core mentality? Will they be able to deliver for Pakistanis?

I am deliberately not writing much about the injustices going on in Pakistan. I can write ten pages right now. But have written much before too, for the past fifteen years i have been writing against elitism and the real reasons behind the problems of Pakistan. I don't want to make this more long now.

SHAHID replied on Saturday, March 7, 2009 06:12 PM PST

If you done something good for the Nation and for Pakistan do not expect for any reward, this should be your national charactor.which can satisfied you.......

yesss replied on Saturday, March 7, 2009 08:59 PM PST

Elitism is THE problem in Pakistan. A few rich at the top don't want to share it with anyone, including other rich people. It is easy to step on and kick the poor. The rich are masters at doing this. Honestly, I think they become orgasmic when they walk among the poor.

Faisal Naseer (Ali3) replied on Saturday, March 7, 2009 09:33 PM PST

Mr. Shahid: Where did you read anything in my post about a reward?

Faisal Naseer (Ali3) replied on Saturday, March 7, 2009 09:40 PM PST

In fact i am calling for a "benaam" movement that will not also become prey to personal interests, self fame, popularity, designations, VIP culture, etc. If you missed that part in my post then it means that you missed the entire post.

Malik replied on Saturday, March 7, 2009 10:51 PM PST

The problem in Pakistan is that no matter where you go irrespective of the time, place and poeple, there will always be a group of people who are the "elite group" and they dont like that people with ordinary background or simply "masses" take any important position. For them it is their birth right to take the sought after positions. I would totally agree with what Faisal has said. PTI also has got the "elite" poeple who are typical feudals and are well conncected. But the problem is that in a country like Pakistan no party can survive if it does not have such people who "matter". Reason is very simple. Every locality has got the so called "wadera" or "elite" who is influential. That is the man who calls all the shots. If parties get that man to their side then they can easily and effectively sway the masses to their side. End of the day the "numbers game" is all that makes or breaks governments. So i guess this is something from which even PTI cant get rid of easily. Though i personally consider Imran Khan to be one of the finest politicians among the lot that we have in our country. He is fearless and patriotic. He has not budged an inch from his stance and is incorruptible. I wish that he gets a chance in future because it is easy to criticise and throw flowery speeches but difficult to really get to the business. Action speak louder than words.

I don't belong to any party. Maybe i have written in a difficult to understand English.

Faisal Naseer (Ali3) replied on Sunday, March 8, 2009 01:56 AM PST

Mr. Malik: You are right about the waderas, etc., but what i meant was that even in the lower grades in PTI they have completely revamped the staff/volunteers. They are trying to give a new image to PTI by associating themselves only with the "posh" kind of people. Old members of PTI like Mr. Zubair Khan is not even visible any more. I don't know where he went. But i get the impression that PTI is also becoming hostage to self interest groups.

During the meetings i used to attend even the top management used to say self interest is very important because no body will do anything for PTI without any self interest. But i don't understand this. Because, just look at this forum. There are so many patriotic people here offering their services without even any recognition. I know as a fact about myself that i have no self interest, only love for Pakistanis. So there must be others too in Pakistan who want to work only for Pakistan. Then why the leadership of PTI dedicated two or three whole meetings only to this issue of personal interests of individuals who want to join PTI. Also, they are looking for wealthy people because they say without money it is impossible to run for elections.

I am NOT doubting the intentions of the PTI leadership. Maybe they are right. I am not an expert, but i have a logical mind, i look from all angles/aspects. And i am afraid too, because there's a lot of hope pinned with PTI for people like us. What is the guarantee that they will also not become like the others? And seeing for past experience the kind of people they chose for their MNA/MPA, i would not vote for them.

limo replied on Sunday, March 8, 2009 02:06 AM PST

Malik what you said is perfect that the real test of a leader starts when he acquires power and people expect him to deliver.Running the affairs of state, especially a country like ours is not a joke.I believe what imran has been doing uptill now (criticism) is the easiest job in the world. Our masses don't take long to develop their perception about any individual. He has been in the politica since last 13 odd year and still finds it hard to win even a couple of seats at provincial or national level. It clearly means that people have not accepted him as politician. He has touched the peaks of fame while in cricket, got retirement and started funds collection for his hospital. There was good response and it helped him to maintain his fame. But after the hospital was over,he was out of news. Now once you have tasted fame of that level, it is hard to live without it.There can'nt be a place better than politics if you want to stay alive in media. It prompted him to jump into politics and thus got a means to stay in the news.

prices for fully paid plots because I noticed that the instalments on these plots were to be paid until Feb 2010?? However, if the buyer would have to pay the remaining instalments then the real price is very different from what it sounds like!

Chaos and Collapse by Mumtaz Ali Bhutto

Chaos and Collapse
by Mumtaz Ali Bhutto

Mind boggling bungling, among other more heinous faults, has come to
be the identifying characteristic of the Zardari government. From the
inept way administrative matters are handled to the fact that Zardari
can not open his mouth without something startling pouring out of it,
one gets an overwhelming sense of incompetence all around. Not only
the task of governance, but even that of running a party like the
Peoples' Party has proved to be far beyond the capabilities of the
accidental Co-Chairman, who sneaked into power not on his own merits
or public acclaim but on a tidal wave of emotions and subservience of
those who were salivating at the prospect of memberships of
assemblies, ministerships and all the other joys associated with
winning an election in the current dispensation. All too soon, the
whole set up has exploded and, as pointed out at the start, the lack
of calibre and qualification of those who have occupied high offices
has become starkly evident. It must be remembered that it was more or
less this lot which twice before formed governments but were unable to
run them even though Shaheed Benazir held the reins. They have landed
the country in serious trouble internally and externally, such as
bringing it to the brink of war with India by grossly mishandling the
Bombay tragedy and reducing the much trumpeted reconciliation to a
joke by violating all commitments. This government basically came
into being through a deal with Musharaf and under protection of the
cursed NRO. In return, the government does not only maintain him in
presidential style, but also follows in his footsteps. The greatest
letdown, however, has been in keeping the promise of roti, kapra makan
to the people and freeing them from the curse of corruption,
lawlessness, high cost of essential commodities and lack of basic
amenities. The lure of jobs and handouts under the Benazir Income
Support Scheme has proved to be a pipe dream and gone sour. The net
result is that within a short period of nine months the government and
the Peoples' Party are not only in a chaotic state of disarray and
collapse, but also the object of public discontent, which has manifest
itself in a recent poll by placing Zardari's popularity at nineteen
percent. So much so that ministers and party office holders are
unable to venture even into gatherings of party workers without
risking harm and their leader can not step out despite the security
provided by thousands of protectors at very high cost to the people.

On Benazir's first death anniversary, it was announced that there
would be a public meeting at Garhi Khuda Buksh Bhutto, addressed by
Zardari. Later, this was cancelled due to security concerns. Then it
was on again and Zardari was to address it by telephone from Naodero,
a mile away. But on the morning of the anniversary, it was once again
announced that the public meeting was off for the same security
reasons, much to the anger of those who had been herded from across
the country to be there. It is shocking that a man who professes to
be a democrat and a leader of the masses, guarded by 9,000 policemen,
7,000 rangers and hundreds of commandos on this occasion, did not feel
safe among the people in, of all places, Garhi Khuda Buksh Bhutto, the
geographic epicenter of the Peoples' Party's.

While lack of any progress in apprehending and punishing Benazir's
assassins, indeed the failure to file an FIR even a year after the
murder, falls like a yoke on the government's neck, in his address to
a small gathering of party office holders in Naodero, Zardari
confessed that he knew the identity of the killers. This being so,
the inexplicable twelve month delay in action against them is
unpardonable and the façade of approaching the United Nations, at the
potential cost of hundreds of millions of dollars for just an inquiry,
nothing more than an escape. Knowing the identity of the killers yet
allowing them to go free not only casts doubt on Zardari's motives but
also implicates him under section 216 of the Penal Code, thereby
bringing Benazir's murder at par with that of Mir Murtaza Bhutto.

This government's failure has even greater and deeper effects than
this: The world regards Pakistan as the factory of global terrorism.
The Bush administration expressed apprehensions that any further
terrorist attacks upon American soil or citizens are likely to
originate from Pakistan. In the wake of any terrorist incident
anywhere in the world, the tracks invariably lead back to Pakistan.
Hence the finger pointing by India in the aftermath of the Mumbai
tragedy. One fears that the time is not far off when, due to this
government's mishandling of the situation, foreign powers might find
it unavoidable to intervene and directly attend to a situation that is
a constant threat to their own security. Air space violation by India
has already taken place and the only reaction from this panic stricken
government is to cover it up by labeling it a mere 'technical
violation'. American troops have already made forays into Pakistani
territory and their drone attacks are now a common occurrence. Only
three days after President Barak Obama took oath of office, American
drone attacks killed twenty people in Waziristan. The government's
token protests against these have become a bore. Obama has already
been reported to have said that for the purpose of anti-terrorist
action, Northwest Pakistan will be treated as a part of Afghanistan.

It has become routine for American Deputy or Assistant Secretaries and
Ambassadors to barge into Aiwan-e-Sadar with objectionable frequency,
obviously not just for a pleasant chat, while in India they are
received at the secretary level. They even collect high awards from
the Pakistani President while the Islamic world and freedom and
justice loving people of the world condemn their war against Muslims
and killing millions of innocent people.

The bottom line is that the people of Pakistan have to wake up before
it is too late. The exercise of effective genuine democracy requires
the participation of the people, not just at the polls but at all
times as a correcting force. The main reasons why democracy has
failed in Pakistan is because the people have abdicated their power of
scrutiny, as a direct consequence of which forces antithetical to not
only democracy but also effective, good governance have been
unleashed. This government has broken every commitment but there is
no one to hold it accountable. People are too busy flocking to
ministers with applications in hand to worry about such a betrayal of
mandate. Protests in small groups on limited demands and pursuit of
individual gain has obviated the requirement of ideology, principles
and programs in politics. This practice has dragged the country to
the brink of economic collapse, backwardness and failed statehood in
which unqualified and unworthy persons are directing the destiny of a
hundred and seventy million people, a fate most alarming. It is no
matter that young people, seeing no future, are driven to suicide
while mothers are compelled to sell infants in bazaars to buy flour.
Such will be the epithet of the Zardari era.

I support Mr. Mumtaz Bhutto. He's a Sindhi nationalist politician and i am not Sindhi, he's not even much known in Pakistan as much as Imran Khan but i support him.
