There are lots of rumors some true some may be not so true.
My recommendation is
a) if you are not in dire need of cash flow and have paid all installments hold these for 2 - 3 years
b) if you are in need of cash flow, currently you may have to sell but at loss.
Again not confirmed but heard that DHA overseas sectors, Lily and possibly there was one more block which are rather safe and are being progressed.
(please do a google search and/or on LRE and you will get info.
Again remember these are from outside sources.
Also heard rumor that DHAI lily block and or one two more which have DHA homes being build near completion. Recently some 200 or so DHA homes who had not paid timely installments were cancelled and resold in Market for 60 lack plus.
Original price was 42 lack, so this 20 lack price increase.
If this is true, it is indeed positive news for DHA valley, as long as blocks are not cancelled.
If you are in Pakistan or have some sources let them visit DHA valley for further better idea

Thanks for the information and advise. I have an 8 marla plot in Daisy block and have paid all installements, minus the last one. Should I go get an allotment letter at this stage in time or should I wait to see how it plays out. At this point in time, I dont need the money.
More opnions would be welcome. |

gentleman 10 blocks had been cancelled remaining 4 overseas blocks and dha homes. 75% of dha homes are already constructed,few are remaining,gone is gone remaining part of the project is definitely profitable as 8m dha home,s current price is 60 lakhs purchasing 42 although currency depreciation and inflation and increase in the construction cost is also there.no possession still surely it will rise on possession will cross 70. as 6 M unit of BT in lahore is booked in 65 lakhs nobody knows possession time ,it is the secret of MASTER .POSSESSION OF DHA HOMES will make the place livable comfortably by that time there will be sure shot rise in the prices of plots,but you have to have wait a bit for this |

very good analysis, the Homes are almost at its finals.
incase of cancellation , the remaining blocks will defitnly becomes hot cake. i think that in near future they are going to announce the possession |

Today I called up DHA Islamabad at their toll free No., to enquire abou the status of my plot (Jasmine Block - DHA Valley). To my surprise, i was informed that no block has been cancelled, and that DHA will start handing over posession of a few developed blocks by the end of this year. When I confronted them with the news of blocks being cancelled, they infomed me that all clients are most welcome to see the progress of DHA Valley on any FRIDAY. Unfortunately, since I am not based in Islamabad; I wish could any friend/expert out there confirm the actual scenario? This is very puzzling indeed. |

This is what everyone is getting when they get in touch with DHAI management. I've also called them many times and they always confirmed that don't care about rumours and there's no cancellation. I think there're some real estate player who have investment in the blocks being mentioned here as safe or want to devalue to project to invest in other blocks. Anyways, the only disappointment from DHAI is that they are not officially coming forward to answer these rumours.
