I personally visited DHA Islamabad office on Friday & Met Town Planing Manager Mr. Kaisar Ghulam Farooqi. I will elaborate the the conversation briefly.
1. Now DHA Valley consist of 4 Sectors only ( Overseas Blocks ,Lily,Orleandar & DHA Homes.
2. Possesion will start by April 2013.Although the Homes are ready .But still they are laying Basic supplies as Power,Water ,Drainage.Lighting,on-going Road Network & Asphalt works.
3. He said we do not want people to get Panic because of Cancellation of Plots due to construction of Dhadhocha Dam therefore till launch of Phase-111 we will not to announce the cancellation officially.
4. All the Cancelled Valley allot-es will be awarded in DHA-111. provided they will pay the difference of 650,000 for 8 Marla Plots & 400,000 for 5 Marla Plots as additional Development charges.
5. The expected announcement of DHA Phase -111 is after handover of DHA-Homes in order to re-gain trust & popularity among investors.
6. The Tentative time frame for development of Phase 111 is 5 years from 2013 i.e 2018 expected Handover.
7. DHA Phase 111 will be located at Peshawar road.
Lastly he asked me where my plot is located. when i told that i am in Overseas Block ; He said you are lucky . It is very safe & upon Handover definitely price will appreciate to double as Now dha valley small project as compared to earlier announced.

Peshawar road? I thought Phase-3 is behind Zaraj and Jeddah town and touches Bahria phase-8 and DHAI-1 ext? There is no land on Peshawar road until you are near taxila. More information will be helpful. |

And phase-3 delivery by 2018, impossible. There is no way they could delivery, it's more of 2025. Look at commoners block, look at DHA-1 & 2 extensions, even if they deliver these three b 2018 it will be a miracle :) or save ph-3 for children of your grand children.
I have 1 kanal in xcommoners and wheni bought in 2006 i was told that DHA (acquired that in 2006) will give in 3 yrs nd now it's 2012 and i still don't see possession for another 3-5 yrs :) dollar was at 60 and now it's 95. Not appreciated a penny so total loss of money. I wish I had invested in Lahore where returns are phenomenal. |

I hope things become better and the delivery of DHA homes is done at least in 2013 end and the Overseas block in 2014 mid or end. that seems to be possible if i try to remain positive, Have you asked the price of the DHA homes and Overseas plots , the news about DHAI has made it difficult to decide for the price of the plots. |

Dear Mr Azfar wahidi
I contacted Brigadier I charge of dha Islamabad and found out that you have put across lies for some personal gains in the project which is not a correct thing to do. All blocks are intact and the four blocks u highlighted have undergone massive development otherwise there is no cancellation of any blocks. I would recommend all others to contact dhai directly to get the latest updates in order to avoid rumours like the one being spread by Mr azfar. I would like to request Mr azfar to avoid presenting lies.

I went today at DHA Islamabad office .Customer service confirmed the cancellation of all blocks except 4 Blocks. & encourage me to see the Development of DHA Homes this coming Friday.
The trip is organized by DHA .Transport will take people from DHA main office at Phase-1 to site & return back at 12:00. Its free service.
I have 5 Marla Home in DHA Homes. I am on vacation from Doha these days & resident of Taxilla. |

AOAto all. I also tend to agree with Mr Mehmood Ali.
As this rumour/theory is being discussed at this forum for now almost 2 months that dha valley has been trimmed and certain blocks cancelled. Also previous such claims were made by mentioning name of DHA person who divulged this information. But bottom line remains that UNLESS any thing about project size is officially notified to public by DHA, all such this remains almost baseless (perhaps good only for sake of gup-shup).
I also talked to customer support guys last month and they also said that they are not aware of any such development to cut the size of valley.
So lets pray what ever happens happens good for all as all have invested their hard earned money but in the process we all have learned a basic investment lesson i.e. A BIRD IN HAND IS BETTER THAN TWO IN THE BUSH (a property on ground is 1000 times better than aprpoerty which is in files AND that to think/consult 10 times before making any such decisions as these decisions can even ruin life of ours and our dear ones).

Dear All,
I would suggest not to believe in these rumours. Call DHAI management yoursef. Don't belive in my words either. I've called them many times and they always confirmed that don't care about rumours and there's no cancellation. I think there're some real estate player who have investment in the blocks being mentioned here as safe or want to devalue to project to invest in other blocks. Anyways, the only disappointment from DHAI is that they are not officially coming forward to answer these rumours.
