I have got notice from Sukh Chyan garden to pay maintenance charges for my plot which looks too high for an empty plot. They are imposing Rs 1800/- and Rs 1275/- per month for 1 K and 10 M plots. They imposed it since
My question is this the normal charges for plots? Someone (living their) told me that maintenance charges are only for houses and not plots? I am living abroad and came to know during my recent visit to Pakistan.

Yes, it is correct. This is not new, these charges are applicable from day one after finalizing the purchase. After construction, it will be 3250 and 2250 respectively. These rates were last year when I got the full information.

I have heard that BT has fixed the elevation of houses in many blocks, the owner does not have the liberty of changing the design of his choice. Though, it is pathetic to go with one type of houses but the plot holders have no choice. How can I get the detail of the design/ elevation while being abroad?

Seeking an expert opinion please.

Not a good idea to keep all the house symmetrical. Some may like that but one should have right to build his dream house of his choice. Houses are not built every day.

i am living in bahria town lahore. This news is not right. U have freedom to build house of ur own choice including elevation. Safari villas and bahria homes elevations can not be changed.

@ Saqib,
As per my information, old sectors like A & B are exempted from this condition but most of sector C and all new sector (E & F)blocks have been given identical elevations for each block. You can alter the floor plan but can't play with elevation. Not sure about sector D. This restriction might be for 5 to 10 marla houses only.

I delayed construction house due to this reason and now planning to sale my plot.It is not worth spending 12 million rupees just to get a typical structure.

I am building my house in Sector C. This is true for 10 marla and below plots. The front elevation is fixed as per 2012. The houses build before that does not follow this. Well if you look at some house elevations , you will say its better that its fixed now with houses looking like box of sweets. Of coarse it is not true for every house.. :)

Dha lahore has announced the possession of phase-7 (q, r, s, t and u blocks). Plot holders can file possession request from 14th february.
Furthermore; dha also announced the possession of phase-11 halloki gardens. Plot holders can file possession request from 14th february

The P block Block lower portions still has litigation problems. P block will be awarded possession with other remaining blocks where possession is due for future. X block middle portion still has pocket. The Dheera Village is not going anywhere.Hopefully new cutting will be fully developed in next year.

These are all rumor and have no truth at all. DHA has no policy to inform ahead about its possession process. Kindly avoid spreading these sort of information on most valuable and viewable real estate portal. Specially the one in which one friend said that DHA is giving possession on phase 7 and phase 9..
