i have Mixed Opinion about Malik Riaz, Though he is good developer and business man but have no moral limits.
This all drama is due to his disappointment that he is about to lose major cases against Bahria. Other wise he must have paid Billions of Rishwat so far, This 30 Cror have no value for him. I Think he Plottted a planned game aginst CJ on instruction of some "big Boss". He mush have found the weakness in Cj's son and expolited it.
He has bribed all the influential people who came on his way no matter, Police, Beurocracy, Politicians or army Generals, why he is not taking names of all thoses as well. This is his style give Bribe if not accepted give gift.
Recently he portrayed as King Maker, I think such peple should be crubbed the integrity of country is more dear than few developed housing schemes.

Well, in my opinion the situation for on ground plots and built houses in BT will not change as they are already at reasonable price. On going projects and files can suffer from this. Anyhow i am not more fan of BT regarding non load-shedding area.

Well i think there might be problems beacuse of the current Malik Riaz situation but the problems will only be limited to the DEVELOPING sectors( Bahria encalve , phase 8/9) of BT and not for the DEVELOPED ones ( Safari villas, Phase 1-4 in pindi etc.)

Apologies for a non real estate discussion. I am in uae and now offered a job in Saudi. Can any brother let me know the attestation procedure of documents like marriage certificate, education certificate and birth certificates from Saudi Embassy. I heard that I have to attest them from Saudi Embassy in Islamabad and then from Saudi.

Dear Procedures do change ,
If you have the Union Counsel Nika Nama go to the Union Counsel and get the NADRA Marriage certificate and then send for attestation to DHL, they will do the attestation.
for Degrees and birth certificate also get NADRA Birth Certificate and send it to DHL for attestation.this is 7 months old update

A productive discussion was going on TAX ON A RENTAL PROPERTY but remain inconclusive.

A friend (MAS) quoted the Income Tax Ordinance 2011 (INCOME TAX ORDINANCE, 2001 AMENDED UPTO 30th JUNE, 2011).

My feeling is that Property Tax is a Provincial subject.

It will be a great help for many friends if someone can kindly let us know the exact ratio of tax on rent.

Dear Curious "Tax on Rental Property" (i.e. Tax on Rental Income) and "Property Tax" are two different things. Property Tax is paid by owners of Residential or Commercial buildings REGARDLESS of their income from that property. Its rate is based on the size/value of the property. This is a provincial tax.

By "Tax on Rental Property" you probably meant "Tax on Rental Income from Property". This is part of INCOME TAX regime enforced by the federal government through FBR. Its rate is as mentioned in previous discussion.

Mr. Curious! Presently the property tax is charged @ 15% of the annual rental value.This rental value is assessed by the taxation authorities from time to time & could be different from what you are actually getting. Based on the actual rent of Rs.36000.00 that you are getting, the annual RV works out to Rs.432000. At 15% rate the property tax will be Rs. 64800 for the year. There are some rebates if this tax is paid within certain notified dates. But let me point out again that rental value of your house as assessed by the taxation department could be different from what you are actually getting as rent

@BT, Under the current regime, nothing will happen to MR. Take a look at the biggest chores. One's a President, and the other PM. All medium chores are in the cabinet and in-power, in one form or another. In fact the biggest chore, the better protected and powerful you are. Having said that if Kaptaan takes over after the next elections, which I belive will happen, there will be ehtisab for all chores including IF MR has done things wrong. That I can guarantee! this is now not about MR, BT and DHA, now it is about the stinking pillars of pakistan state. when one individual says that all political parties, beurocracy, general , jounalists, media houses and 7 judges of supreme court are under his control then we should think seriously about future of this banana state. we should not make claim to confront outside powers nevertheless these powers are more powerful in all aspects than MR/BT/DHA, they can bribe with more enticement to top elites of this banana republic.
the crux of matter is that should we allow one person to manupolate the whole political, administrative,judicial,media etc. certainly not because weakening the institutions will eventually lead to more vulnerable pakistan. the elites and their families who are being bribed by MR, incoming days when there will be no MR, these elites will need someone to sponsor their lifestyle and that will go at the cost of pakistan. if some one has developed a few towns and his actions are weaking the pakistan institutions, problem in pakistn is that here every one is corrupt some less and some more, no one has pakistan interest in his preferences. so this continue to eventual end.

Did any person or media spoke on this aspect or does any body knows that why aeroplane of MR stopped at Karachi. Because, MR met Zardari at VIP lounge of Karachi airport who was already sitting in VIP lounge and aeroplane of Zaradari took off after the departure of Malik Riaz for Islamabad. But Mr. Malik Riaz is willing to investigate his cases through NAB or FIA and insisting to form a larger bench. Reason is simple 7 SC Judges & NAB Chief have been appointed with his consensus. He is insisting that Ch. Iftikhar should not be a part of those benches hearing BT cases. By doing this bloody act he may be able to bribe the rest easly in his favour.
