Administrator DHA Lahore Brig Muhammad Aslam Rana has said that DHA New Office Complex project is very unique with regard to its standard and is a masterpiece of architecture.

He was addressing as a chief guest on the earth breaking ceremony of New DHA Main Office Complex. He said that the present office complex is not sufficient.

He said that the requirement of sub branches/offices has increased, necessitating construction of DHA New Main Office Complex in Phase-6 which would be constructed in a record period of time. Earlier, Secretary Technical & Chief Engineer Col Azam Shahzad gave a briefing about the project. Senior officials of DHA and residents were also present on the occasion.

Brig Aslam Rana further said that Hally Tower Shopping Mall Phase-2, which has state of the arts facilities for the residents and new Medical Centre in W Block, Phase-III is near to completion. In order to overcome the traffic problems DHA to provide decent transport facilities to the residents.

ISLAMABAD: A few parliamentarians have shown exceptional interest in the recently-launched CDA housing sector and have deposited forms for balloting.

“A number of MPs have deposited their forms along with the down payment of 10 percent of the total cost of land,” a CDA official said, adding that there was no bar on the MPs or anybody else to seek plots in such scheme.

CDA Chairman Imtiaz Enayat Elahi told The News that it was in his knowledge that many MPs had got the forms to apply for plots in the new sector, which has been launched for private citizens after over two decades.

Hundreds of MNAs and senators already have plots in the private Parliamentarians’ Enclave, which was introduced a few years back by one of their colleagues. However, its fate is in the doldrums since long and it has not even taken off in the absence of acquisition of sufficient land for the colony.

The chairman said that as per amendments in the Zoning Regulations, private housing schemes have been allowed in Zone-IV of Islamabad after the issuance of no-objection certificate (NOC) by the CDA.

He said that in a 2008 decision on a suo moto notice, the Supreme Court ordered the CDA not to stop the residents of Zone-IV from constructing houses and commercial buildings on their private land. It also held that disallowing private citizens to build houses on their land was a violation of fundamental rights.

However, before changes in the zoning regulations were made, a number of ill-planned private housing colonies mushroomed in Zone-IV with the CDA being a helpless spectator to the illegality. The civic body has not been able to take any action against them.

The chairman did not know the exact number of applications received by the CDA so far for the Park Enclave, but said the real rush would start in the last few days of the expiry of the last date, July 31.

The cash-starved CDA has offered just 700 & 500-square yards residential plots in the first phase of the Enclave and expects to generate funds of Rs5 billion. This is the first sector that the CDA has launched for private citizens after a long time. For many years, it has been giving plots in sectors like I-8, G-13 and G-14 to only government servants, barring private citizens from applying for the same.

Officials say CDA plans to sell 600 plots in the second phase of the Park Enclave after a few months, which would touch the Park Road. The price of plots would be significantly hiked as against the cost offered in first phase. They say CDA has fixed the highest-ever price of one 500 square yards plot in the Park Enclave Islamabad compared to its past offers in other residential sectors.

its means i did the right decision to buy a 4.6 marla house in eden gardens, i received many emails that i did wrong, but now i feel after the announcement of metro from gaggu matte the value fo this colony will touch sky. when i visited pakistan i found this location an attractive one but later ringroad interchange and now metro stop announcement make this colony more attractive and apporachable which i believe would not effect the delay of this projects keeping in view its benefits

I have just received call from my family telling that Bahria Town Management have sent payment of additional charges of Rs 150000/= for Awami Villa Flat over an above our Rs 5 lacs deposit since last 5/6 years and delivery of flat after December 2013.
