Why are you people so astonished?
It is possible ot have salaries around 50000SAR in Saudi!
I my self was earning around 30000SAR permonth and left for a better proposal in another country.
I still have my friends working in Dubai and Saudi earning 20000 to 30000 SAR - DINAR / month.
I'm talking about talented engineers.
If you have western passport than you may get an offer of 50000 SAR / month.
Brother of my colleague was a consultant in UK hospital and he was offered 450000 / month in an American hospital in Saudi Arabia but he refused becuase of his carrier back in UK.

ALL INVESTORS PLEASE BEWARE:

(Moderator, why you deleted my posts, please let investors know the truth behind the jiant name and their cheapness)

Emaar is dishonest and defaulting on their commitment to pay commission to their authorized dealers who booked in their previous projects. Since long they are using differnt delaying tactics. They were supposed to pay commission within few weeks of booking. Despite doing all the paperwork they have yet to pay commissions which are now due more than a year. All the dealers and their investors are very upset about this.

This shows two things:

i) Do not trust on any of Emaar's commitments.

ii) There is some possibility that they might go bankrupt if they are serious short of finances that they don't even have money to pay 1 or 2% commissions per their written commitment.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST INVESTING IN EMAAR UNTIL THEY FULFIL THEIR PREVIOUS COMMITMENTS.

M M replied on Friday, March 27, 2009 05:31 PM PST

Dear Mr. Dealer
The Emaar building in DHA ISB Phase 2 is showing progress and people are booking the shops / flats in the building.

I think they are making progress. But I am not sure about their delayed payment to their agents.

Please clarify the picture if you can in detail

Shame On You replied on Saturday, March 28, 2009 05:18 AM PST

Mr. Islamabad Dealer, Instead of crying about your 1-2% commision, have you thought about buyers you have trapped in the greed of this comission? Those buyers are in deep-shit and on the hook for years to come not knowing when/if he/she would received her house.

Who would pay for their losses that you trapped by showing them rosy pictures JUST for your 1-2% commision?

Stop crying with your open lound mouth. From your statement above it is very clear that you are more worried about your commision than investors.

yesss replied on Saturday, March 28, 2009 08:07 AM PST

to Shame on you, I say shame on you !!!

This man worked his job honestly selling a product. There is NOTHING wrong with that. Now he wants to get paid for his work. NOTHING wrong with that. He has ever right to be angry. He has every right at this point to worry more about his commission than the investors. The investors will never worry about the salesman's commission. NEVER

Islamabad Dealer replied on Saturday, March 28, 2009 03:43 PM PST

Dear "Shame On You"

The shame is all yours for such a stupid response to a well intentioned post. I have done my job well. Do you feel ashamed of getting your pay after you do your work? Do you feel ashamed of being a whistle blower if you spot something wrong?

I am proud that based on the information I had at the time of booking, I served my client well by telling them the good and bad of the investment, and did not force them towards investment.

And it is part of my job to WARN if and when I see there is an issue. I am more concerned about my clients’ investment than you are. I am warning any future investments.

The main issue is not commission. The main issue is if they don’t have money or will to pay commissions and honour their commitments then there may be larger issues brewing. And investors should be aware of this.

To forego Rs 55 billion liabilities of an already sold entity,,,
To give away power at a price below cost,,,
To not enforce contractual obligation of power supply to financial hub of country,,,

Could it be related to following news published in Oct 2008?
KESC sale to Abraaj, another scandal looming?

This is just the tip of the iceberg, it can easily bring the TiTaNic to the touch the bottom. God Save Pakistan.

Naveed Yaseen replied on Friday, March 27, 2009 12:51 PM PST

Here is another one,,,

'Bakamal Loag, Lajawab Service': PIA annual loss swells to Rs 40 billion

Most of increment in losses, Rs 23 billion, comes through a single accounting entry 'exchange losses' described as following,,,

“...The companys exchange losses increased to Rs 24,118.823 million in this period against Rs 720.151 million in the same period previously”

This defies statistics in three different ways,,,
1) by change of absoluted magnitude in this figure (33 folds) between adjacent accounting periods
2) by change of relative proportions between sibling accounting figures
3) by net profit-loss probability of natural moves in forex market

Point 3 explained further,,,
presuming ALL of PIA revenues (Rs 89 billion) were received in rupees at lowest forex rate Rs60 per dollar, and ALL of PIA's expenditures (Rs 94 billion) were paid in dollars at highest forex rate Rs85 per dollar, even then it hardly matches such huge exchange loss.

In reality most of revenues/expenses of PIA do not cross foreign exchange boundary. And those places where their money does cross foreign exchange boundary, those transactions are distributed evenly in time and direction, with some crossings of revenues and expenses canceling out each other. The statistical residue being extremely unlikely to be Rs 24 billion.

It appears some guys may be tampering dates of transactions in collusion with some financial institution(s),,, declaring low market times for dollar-to-rupee swaps and high market times for rupee-to-dollar swaps,,, pocketing the difference between tampered times of entries and real times of transactions.

Observor replied on Friday, March 27, 2009 03:37 PM PST

Just to add one point to highlight the incompetence; present MD PIA is a pilot who cannot even read financial statements properly and i suppose it may not be possible for him to know the implications for financial derivatives if PIA has used these.

Silent Spectator replied on Friday, March 27, 2009 07:38 PM PST

@ Observer
He must be a friend of Zardari.

Azher UK replied on Saturday, March 28, 2009 12:56 AM PST

When ever some one approaches PIA for a seat, he will find the flights are fully booked, so it is quite evident that losses are not due to insufficient number of passengers, the other possibility is that PIA has employed one pilot and one air hostess for each passanger (Allocation quota for each passanger). If you look at the strenght of the employees and crews employed by PIA, you will be surprised that they have 500% more staff being paid wages without performing any job. This is the reason they call PIA "GREAT PEOPLE TO FLY WITH" in other words this air line is in the service of ROYALS only.

Aamir replied on Saturday, March 28, 2009 03:14 PM PST

The airline lost Rs 4.4 billion in 2005, Rs 12.8 billion in 2006 and Rs13.6 billion in 2007. That is a lot of money, but the whopper with extra cheese was delivered in 2008. More than Rs. 38.5 billion worth of losses last year means that PIA is officially the kind of massive failure that makes Pakistan's FATA strategy and RBS's purchase of ABN Amro look like roaring success stories. Even in 2009 rupees, PIA's 2008 losses come to almost $500 million. Half a billion dollars. OMG !

(An increasingly common sight as democracy continues to take its revenge)

A good share of the almost 8,000 jiyalas that are being reinstated by the government to the positions that were terminated in 1996 are going to come back to PIA

Airline industry standard is 150 employees per aircraft for successful operation. Whereas, more than 440 employees PIA has per aircraft. USA's most successful airlines, Southwest Airlines with a fleet of over 500 aircraft had less than 70 employees per aircraft in year 2007.

TWO PROBLEMS OF PIA

1. The extra number of employees per aircraft = more corruption, inefficiency, smaller pay scale, more expenditure & less profit.
2. Financial Statements of PIA seem to base on Creative Accounting. The reason for which ENRON and SATYAAM etc went bankrupt.

God bless Pakistan replied on Saturday, March 28, 2009 08:53 PM PST

Very good point raised by Naveed Yasin.
In Pakistan govts. headed by non Military people believe they have license to destroy Pakistan.
They destroy Pakistan openly during their tenure and in elections get votes on biradari base.
There are many projects which present govt. is not pursuing.
Gas pipe lines from Iran and Turkmenistan are one good example.
Evry passing day we are loosing billions of dollars in terms but we are happy to begg IMF for few billions.
What does it tells us?????

The funds Karachi has got during the last few years of MQM Government, it has not got during all the years of Pakistan History. It is true we can see improvement in the infrastructure but at what cost? Is there any accountability to that? How much money MQM has received out of it?

Few days ago I saw the article about Quaid-e-Azam's Great grand son and daughter, which was very disturbing. Where is MQM, their Ministers and sector incharges have made Billions/millions according to their status in the party which they claim in the name of Mohajirs through blackmail to other ethnic groups. I just want to tell them that these Great grand childs of our National Hero live beside them. These are the people who sacrificed themselves in the name of Pakistan and never claimed even their just right.

It is a big shame to MQM and its leaders who do politics in the name of forefathers and never cared about the Great grand children of our NATIONAL FOREFATHERS.
