Pakistan Economic News : Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated by 3.3 rupees against US Dollar (

April 17, 2020 (MLN): Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated by 3.3 rupees against US Dollar (USD) in today's interbank session as the currency closed the day's trade at PKR 163.58 per USD, against yesterday's closing of PKR 166.88 per USD.

The rupee endured a highly volatile trading session with quotes being recorded in a range of 4.25 rupees per USD showing an intraday high bid of 167.25 and an intraday Low offer of 164.00.

During the week, the currency has gained 3.2 rupees against the greenback, as the previous week was concluded at PKR 166.79 per USD.

Meanwhile, the currency gained 4.5 rupees against the Pound Sterling as the day's closing quote stood at PKR 203.67 per GBP, while the previous session closed at PKR 208.19 per GBP.





Similarly, PKR's value strengthened by 4.3 rupees against EUR which closed at PKR 177.21 at the interbank today.

On another note, within the money market, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) conducted an Open Market Operation in which it injected Rs.1.39 trillion for 11 days at 9.01 percent.

The overnight repo rate towards close of the session was 8.80/9.00 percent, whereas the 1 week rate was 9.00/9.05 percent.

1. What will be impact of governments new real estate policy on Phase 9 Prism prices in the next 3 to 6 months?
2. Will the rates of overall Phase 9 Prism increase, decrease or remain static in near future?
3. What is development status in lower Prism blocks like J, K, L, M etc and when is possession expected in these blocks?

The impact will be good but like it took market 3 years fall hard it will take min 4 to 6 months to start seeing good momentum to the upside.

We have started to get buyers calls already after lots of good news in past one week.

Mujahid bhai Good to see you back and talking here on your own forum. I think you should be more responsive on your own page BTW I my self personally very much dishearted & disoppionted with
DHA LAHORE development status rgearing phase 9 PRISM. They have the best part of land in their hands surrounded and developed from all sides and they are neglecting this part which is PRISM 9. If DHA LAHORE continue its development like this than I am sorry I disagree with your statement regarding PRISM 9 & If they cosidered is at their upmost Priority of development and announced possession within end of this 2020. Then may be possible it will be a BIG HIT of Dha lahore. Till than wait & watch rather DHA LAHORE shows responsible attitude of development or again irresponsible as before.

Respected Shaista I have started to cover Prism each block in great depth in
DHA Lahore Phase 9 Prism series of videos. That series got disrupted due to my Pakistan trip and Corona lockdown.

J upper part is still good to buy or hold good locations near Ashiana interchanges but in the general speed of development is very slow in J Prism. Prism K is an excellently located block with good speed development. L is the weakest block not worth holding or buying other than main roads etc. Let me try to make a quick video to show you L M N development as of today.

I will complete the detailed series later in the week but for you respected sister, I will have to make a video. In Sha Allah

Paf falcon complex house registration process

I have a question regarding paf falcon complex hiuse registration process.
1. I have been told that in paf falcon complex there is no house registry. Only NOC and sale deed on a stamp paper is enough to acquire the property.
If anybody can confirm this?
If it is wrong then what is missing.

2. Also it is not required to pay property tax here.can any body confirm?

Nation’s economic growth to contract first time in 68 years
IMF expected to release $1.4b emergency funding Thursday

(Bloomberg) -- Pakistan’s central bank unexpectedly cut its policy rate for a third time in a month in an attempt to revive economic growth that has stalled because of a lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

State Bank of Pakistan cut its key target rate by 200 basis points to 9% in an unscheduled meeting, according to a statement from the central bank. That’s the lowest since November, 2018. It also forecast economic growth will contract 1.5% for the year ending June, compared with a previous estimate of a 3% growth.

The domestic indicators “suggest a significant slowdown in most parts of the economy in recent weeks,” the central bank said in the statement. “This action would cushion the impact of the coronavirus shock on growth and employment.”

The biggest policy-rate reduction in about 18 years by the central bank follows multiple stimulus packages amounting to 450 billion rupees ($2.5 billion) announced by the administration of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The government also began reopening some industries to revive the economic activity and prevent people from falling into poverty.

”The cut is a step in the right direction,” said Khurram Schehzad, chief executive officer at Karachi-based advisory Alpha Beta Core Solutions Pvt. “This will not only create much-needed fiscal space but also provide room to all the large and medium size businesses who in turn should redirect these savings to support employment.”

Pakistan’s coronavirus infections increased by 414 on Thursday to about 6,900. It also reported 128 deaths from the disease.

Pakistan will also get temporary relief from repaying International Monetary Fund’s debt, according to people with knowledge of the matter. The moratorium will last until the end of the year. The nation makes about $10 billion in debt payments annually, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said in a televised speech on Thursday.

Pakistan also expects to receive additional $1.4 billion from the IMF Thursday to counter the after securing a $6 billion loan last year.

Can any brother share the expected date of possession of A block phase 9 as want to contruct house there. I have saving to build house which is being wasted in lieu of rent as i am living on rent. Dha did not fulfill its promise of delivering it on time
