I am getting a contractor to build a 1 kanal house for me in DHA phase 6 on my plot. I have seen houses they have built and I can vouch for it that the quality is very very good. However, they are quoting 1 crore 80 lakh. I wanted to know if this was a fair value for a good quality fully finished house with only the furniture missing.

What is the average cost of construction for an average house of 1 kanal in DHA?

It is bit high by 15-20 lacs, however if you are impressed with their high quality work then go for it. However, clearly agree with them the time duration to build the house, payment terms etc.

There are no buyers in the market and a lot of sellers. Prices on internet shows the picture of pre-taxation period. Now, things have changed. In other words, a real buyer can get plots on much reduced prices whereas according to internet the prices are rather increased. Ground reality is different than internet.
