DHA Bahawalpur Ballot Results To Be Available on Nov 28 2015
BAHAWALPUR: Balloting of about 35,000 applicants across the country seeking residential plots in the newly established Defence Housing Authority (DHA) here is expected to be held here on Nov 28.
This was stated by DHA Project Director Brig Arif Rashid Kiyani during his first interaction with the media since the launch of DHA here about three months ago.
Earlier, DHA Director Col Shaheen in his briefing answered a question, saying no land owner had been forced out from their properties. Instead, he claimed, the civil administration had evicted “illegal occupants” from five acres, which they had allegedly grabbed during previous years.
He clarified that barren state land had been given to DHA by the Punjab government and there were no complaints of forced evacuation from any land owner. He said total area of the DHA was about 2,200 acre with about 5,000 residential plots in one kanal to 10 marla sizes.
