Have new blocks been added to DHA Phase 8 Lahore? I saw here block C being mentioned and also on another site blocks N, L etc. I don't find these blocks on the map. Can any one clarify if this is true or it is some other scheme like Parkview etc?

Congratulations to all NFC Phase 2 plot holders. Development work on main roads is in full swing and according to the top management of NFC, smaller roads and other developments contracts will be awarded after Eid. I went to the site today and have taken a few pictures, am uploading them here.

Discount rate is directly linked to lending and would make bank loans cheaper if KIBOR also falls with discount rate(Expected but not necessary). There would be no impact on already invested NSCs but rate of return for new investments would fall down. Ideally cheaper loans and low saving rates would give some boost to real estate market. The only issue here is that discount rate has been artificially brought down without taking current inflation rate into consideration which makes it difficult for SBP to maintain/further decrease this discount rate for a long period.
The banks offering 16% are HMB, BAH but for fixed deposit certificates of 06 years.
Azam certificates of KESC offer 15% for 03 year investment.
Behbood certificates of NSC offer real return of above 16% for 10 year certificates(Maximum investment 03 Mn only for aged above 60 year)

of course u can build houses there, by making a concrete platform and then construction the house on it.

and u r right a big chunk of phases 1-6 is land filled but it was not as expensive as intellectuals village.

my point is if one is to spend this much then should he really buy a land filled area and compromise on the long term durability/strength of house???

regarding sector A and sector 6 am not sure coz haven't visited it.

initially i myself was very tempted to intellectual village but when i there with a very experienced contractor, he completely rejected the place. and we went together to a nearby newly constructed house and the resident himself told that the house tilted after the construction and they had to put extra support.

thats why am trying to inform prospective buyers to be very careful and do not buy land without a technical assurance from a third party.
