State life 2 plot owners should not worry. Even if SL2 does get a merger with DHA, the location of SL2 itself is superb and worth to hold.

I think plaza owners should be held responsible for disregarding building by-laws. They were in habit of making unauthorized construction. The LDA is following Supreme Court's orders. Not withstanding to above, I wish supreme Court should have ordered compensation to shop / office / apartment owners.

Mr Reman thanks for your querry. There are Five Zones in Regi Model Town and the prices vary from zone to zone. However the price range of 5 marla plot is 6 - 12 lacs. Zone 3 and Zone 4 are almost developed where possession is going to be handed over shortly.

Mr. Aslam in his recent post below noted that most of the adds these days are for DHA and Bahria town. I also observe that most discussions are regarding DHA and Bahria. Why is that, plz comment on the following possibities below????

1. Due to current construction activity going on mostly in these areas???
2. Being better planned/managed housing socities than others???
3. Better advertisments???
4. Due to their larger size than others???

In any market as the market matures only a small number of players control that market. I think the same will happen in the real estate sector in the future it is not starting to happen already, many of the smaller developers will disappear and only the big developers will remain.

Nobody is stopping Mr Aslam from posting about any scheme that the choses to write about.

Yes, it can happen that only a few major players take control of the market BUT this is called "MONOPLY" and this is something not very healthy for us. As customers/investors, we would like to have more competetion amongst various housing socities/real estate developers. Thats the only way, we will get a better quality product and price. Healthy competition is always good for the market.

Lets hope that other bigger developers like Emaar, Eden, urban developers, Valencia and Izmir management, take more interest, be fair and offer some real competition to DHA and Bahria.

If you see most investors and genuine buyers are going for DHA and Bahria town and now specially because of the very low rates, to invest and to make a house.

I don't think that competition diminishes if you have a few stronger players competing against each other so long as they don't operate as a cartel. In the vehicle industry and aviation industry globally there is still healthy competition. No. 1 wants to retain its market share while No. 2 wants to become No. 1, so there is a healthy competition even with 2 players where the market is operating efficiently.

Abid Sahib Bahria Town is the 2nd largest housing society in Pakistan. The Lahore project has been started during Nawaz Sharif's era and then survived Musharaf and the Chaudries and now PPP. If it has survived all these times and political changes what makes you think it will go down now. It is a very big project I don't think BT could have gotten this far without approval from the concerned authorities. Tell your friend to purchase that commercial other wise he will regret it very much.

It is news in the TV C42 today that all societies are coming under LDA except the Cantt area.
The question is that Bahria Town is not approved by LDA as I heard and it is approved by TMA. So what will happen if LDA declare it as illegal as it is not approved by LDA. I think the next steps is being taken as they did for the plazas. First let them make and then domolish which is policy of LDA.
Although BT is good after the DHA but people only afraid its legality and have not assurance for safe innvestment as DHA.
Can others share their point of view on this topic.

yes Mr. Aslam they are going to demolish BT and then level it and after Malik raiz will get BT Lahore approved from the LDA and then start the development and construction over again, this whole process should take a couple of days.

I Malik Raiz ia convicted in any case of Fraud or Murder then he alone will be liable. He has bank accounts full of Billions and if it is a fraud case then his accounts will be the target and if murder then his person will be liable. The people residing in BT have all legal right to live there.

I don't know the real effect of such illegal move by societies but looking into current scenario they can demolish some of its area to clear Lahore Master Plan Main Roads. And societies will skip. They will divide and charge the loss to resides.

This is a HUGE project and there is direct impact on prices of g-13 and g-14 and some on i-11 and g-15. tjis would be 8 lines road for future new islamabad airport connection.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to start construction work on the Kashmir Highway in March. The project would cost the CDA Rs 2.60 billion, sources in CDA told Online.

They added that the eight kilometers long road would connect Golra More to Peshawar More. “Contract would be awarded to the interested firm on time so that timely execution of the project is ensured,” they said emphatically.
