It is so far good Location, Not Prime location but it in K Block which is near Old GTS , it is about 500 Meters away from Nallah, the Good point is it is near Future exit of all DHA prism ie Gajumattah, To exit to Ferozupur road you will have to travel only 2.8 KM but other will have to travel 10 to 12 KM
You can say no bad features but better access[ which most DHA 9 is lacking]
Only bad thing is that a big encroachment is 100 Meters away. But it is not village

When we compare 5 m location with 5m in other blocks then 5m k block is good and obviously 5m location could not be compared with 1k location.

8.5/10 for 5 marla for your 1190 and all lane it's value will be 38 round about . 9/10 is above lane in k 40 will be its value and 9.5/10 for corner , facing park if any . big road of upper lanes of k 40 plus will be its value , the block below to your lane 1700's is 8/10 and it will be 36 plus . that are only my pick of block and location else other than these are average even with corners or bad and worst .

J block is on other side of ring road. Your plot is on back of 10 marla cutting, 10 marla plot number is 1872. Look at back side of 1872, you will see 1852 there.

Dear all,very helping information for doctors in Lahore (post # 84045). My mother is having sever pain in left leg and MRi conducted at shifa Islamabad. Dr said disk is moved from it's place and pushed nerve which caused pain. Needs operation to fix. My mother don't agree for operation. She is 62 and having bp and sugar issue also. Plz advise for best Dr in Islamabad to avoid operation.

Dear Shoaib - I had the similar problem in the past since I am a chronic patient of diabetese and high blood pressure. I doubt the problem you have indicated is due to diabetic neuropathy. I suggest you get her consulted by a Neurologist. There are intra-muscular injections for this purpose. May Almighty Allah relieve her pain (Ameen).

Sir I am not an orthopedic surgeon but am a Doctor with experience in it. Its true that people with BP and Sugar should be cautious going into any procedure. Diabetics have increased or decreased pain sensation than normal people anyways. Her BP and Sugar should be controlled 101% before any elective procedure is undertaken if decided and any Dr hurrying the procedure before doing this shouldn`t be trusted to much in my opinion. Her condition as described seem to be what is called Sciatica. What Mr MJM is describing for her won`t do. Get opinion from Orthopedics or NeuroSurgeon who both handle such cases. Who? I can`t say for Islamabad, Anyone with FRCS or FACS Diploma. Try to get her checked in PIMS by some Assistant Professor and above as there the doctors won`t have incentive to getting patient under the knife just to charge you for the procedure. Try to take some family doctor with you.

Brig asad is the spinal surgeon at CMH Rawalpindi who is really competent.As the MRI clearly shows the slipped disc pressing upon the nerve she needs to be seen by the spinal surgeon and not by the neurologist.

Pain related to slip disc type issue is always very excruciating. Just because the pain is high does not mean one should rush for surgery. I would suggest to follow WiZeIce's advice above and she also MUST try YOGA exercise for at least 3 months and avoid heavy lifting for the rest of her life. Yoga is scientifically proven to help in back issues.

Well sis,you could invest it in property, because it would be a great savings for your kids. But that could only happen if you could find some kinds of job.

Otherwise you can open savings account with some reputed banks like UBL,HBL,MCB. I am just saying it because your kids are orphans otherwise interest or profit on savings account is haram, when your kids will be independent then you can stop taking interest or profit. Hbl interest rate is higher than others and they could give you more than any others. e.g 12 to 14 thousands in month. Hbl rate is 8.50% and Ubl rate 8.05 % .I would again warn you never trap in hands of false banks for higher profit. Interest rate from banks would hardly beat the rupee depreciation rate of approximately 10% per year, so that is likely a net negative return in real terms.

You can consider buying a ready for rent property at some place where the scene is changing but the prices aren't too saturated. That way you may preserve (or even possibly gain) the real value in long term while getting some fixed income too.

The rent would apparently look significantly lower than the return from bank, but at least it would be real because most of your investment in land would keep up with inflation.

For rental purpose, commercial properties may be better than the residential because of lower proportion of depreciable and vulnerable investment in the building; and relatively lower probability of tenants committing defaults, damages or demands, as they earn their livelihood from that place.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I suggest another possible avenue for "investing" at least some part of your savings.

"Invest" in enhancing energy efficiency of your house, vehicle and appliances. That would likely give you a safer and better return than you would get anywhere in the investment market.

Such "investment" would not give any income, but it would reduce expenses. A rupee saved is a rupee earned.

All Everybody has given you the Good reponse, But you should consider your Childern age, by the way how old they are now accordingly you should measureable steps towards
your plans. And kindly do not believe anybody for anything, So many people will try to trap you for very good returns on the worth you have. But Good suggestion is that buy a piece
of Land in DHA Phase 9, and within 2 or 3 Years you will get good return on it, And sametime its safe & secure investment too. Are living with Parents or alone if living with parents
atleast you are safe but still don’t believe anybody for you money and try not to tell everytime about ur money to anybody peoples intentions are very UGLY now a days be safe.
If you are enough EDUCATED then I would say to go DUBAI and find a job there this is also best OPTION for you and ur kids as wel, So you can save ur money you have and live

Let me add my 2 cents also for whatever it is worth.

1. Property investment is for those who have holding power for at least 5-7 years. There is no guarantee of meaningful price increase if investment is made for a smaller time frame.

2. Even if there were no religious issues with interest from banks or National Savings the value of your principal amount will continue to decrease over time.

3. I would suggest to invest 19 lacs out of 20 in a low risk plot as per recommendations from LRE experts and then forget about it for a along time.

4. Use the remaining 1 lac to invest in a home business of some kind depending on your interest and abilities. One idea that comes to mind is making frozen Samosas and Rolls etc and supplying them to grocery stores. You can get some formal training from a cooking school if you don't already have the skills. Later you can increase the level of your business to making quality baking products for high end bakeries. Always invest in proper tools for whatever you want to do (in this case quality kitchen appliances, oven with safety features etc). If you follow the policy of never compromising on quality (which includes cleanliness and safety) your business will very likely never fail. Make quality your best friend. Regards.

Dear doctor it is good to know that Pakistanis are involved in such cutting edge work in china. I will keep your contact info just in case I need it for my father in future. However in fairness you should also let people know that stem cell treatment for Parkinson's is still in early stages of development. No clinical trials have been done in USA so far. Efficacy and side effect issues are still there otherwise Micheal J. Fox would have gotten it by now.

Nevertheless it is a very promising line of research and I wish you much success. When this treatment gets perfected I hope you will bring it to Pakistan.

There is nothing strange, For sure bahria town would have Backup generators working for 12 hours thus providing electricy to most of its parts, in other countries I have seen buildings of 2000 flats running totally on generators as big as 2 kanal plot.So technically it is possible.

Kaisrani sahab has logically explained why we should have trust in BT's private power generation ability. This is how we should conduct discussion in this forum not in the manner exhibited by Mr Saleem Akhtar. I hope LRE will take notice of his language and delete such posts. By the way there are a lot of people in this country who do resist bribes.

Bahria Town should be respected for its good work. My only problem with them is that they often create too much hype in their ads which can sometimes be misleading and later embarrassing for them. I hope they will improve their organizational culture in this regard.
