what is good time to sell plot in DHA Town 9

Dear friends,
Can some one pls guide what is good time to sell plot in dha town 9. I have 5 marla plot in B block but not sure where to sell it now or wait another 6 months to one year for maximum profit. Is it better to sell it and invest somewhere else or just sit and hold it for 6-12 months? Your honest opinions will be highly appreciate. Stay blessed. AH

ali replied on Sunday, June 28, 2015 06:56 AM PST

dont sell it i believe as there would be a set back in
prices for a while but evantually in a year or so when construction starts it will gain another 8 to 10 lacs most probably

ahmed replied on Monday, June 29, 2015 02:41 AM PST

i agree with mr ali. dont sell it. wait for 6 months ..u will get good gains, dha town has a superb
location, askari 11 on one side and dha prism at its back.the sooner construction starts it will gain more.

Hi All

I have indirect query here. I have savings of around 4 Crore as I worked in GCC for 15 years.

Due to family issues parents alone and one more liability back home want to settle in Lahore.

I am an HVAC Sales professional mech engr. so situation of job not very promising in Lhr in my field.

Please advise for 3 primary school{beaconhouse} kids mediocre living in 10 marla rental house ...how much monthly expense required.

I am not party person and go out dining once month and main hobbies are books - charity -

I do not intend to do job just roll my savings in plots 25% and 50% put in savings certificates and balance 25% purchase 10 marla house for rental yield.

Is PKR 1 Lac enough for my expenses.

Thank you

@KSA ,I HAVE THE SAME PLANS TO MOVE TO LAHORE WITH SIMILLAR INTENTIONS .I DONT HAVE KIDS AND MY BUDGET IS 1 LAKH .IN UR CASE I WOULD SUGGEST ATLEAST 2 LAKH MORE OR LESS.

Amir Khan replied on Sunday, June 28, 2015 01:50 PM PST

@ KSA,

My humble opinion is that you should not just live off your savings but employ yourself usefully as well. With your background you could find a job, or worse open up a small workshop to ply your trade. You could gainfully use the knowledge and experience gained over the years at your job and earn a decent living. You could buy a house for 1 crore instead of rental. It would save you rental charges. With kids school, utilities, groceries, fuel and some entertainment I would say a budget close to Rs. 150,000/- would be a minimum requirement. You could squeeze some things but in Pakistan you never know what may crop up. Wish you all the best in your endeavours. Lastly have faith in Allah, as HE knows what is best.

SK replied on Sunday, June 28, 2015 02:18 PM PST

I moved back from US last year and living in DHA Islamabad. If you own a house and a car, 200,000/month is good for decent living. Three kids going school, utilities, grocery, gas and dinner out twice a month.

Amar replied on Sunday, June 28, 2015 07:08 PM PST

Saiam or Saima gave a very close breakdown.

I think 1.5 lakh is adequate with own house. If rented, then close to 2 lakh.

Dear Brother KSA

Last month I was back from Dammam after a Looong time passing in Saudi Arabia. I have my own 10 Marla house in Lahore ( not in DHA ), living average simple life. I found 1.5 to 1.6 lacs are enough to run a family of 5 ( three children which are going in good schools like Beaconhouse ). I was also Engineer there in one of the big Power Utility Company.
However, you may face severe problems in establishing your business. My sincere advice to you, be there if possible.
For further information you may e-mail to me on

well instead of sitting idle u can become a real estate agent , i feel there are two businesses which can thrive easily one is food stuff and the other is clothing rest u can go open a phara macy or a book store or a hard ware store well when u have done enough of job u can always try ur luck with a small decent business i myself feel that i should go to makkah or medina and open up a small food chain desi type for the hajis another one is start with ur own small constrution company building small houses and as a contractor house builder may ALLAH be with u

do you want a real fancy modern hospital or a reasonable one?
Also, is she diabetic? Another disease!?

dubai replied on Sunday, June 28, 2015 04:50 PM PST

khan sb you forgot to ask about Inguinal hernia 😊 if yu want best of the best surgeon then go to Dr Abu al Fazal at that big hospital on jail road opposite irani consulate,, forgot the name or dr G A shah of doctors hospital or dr Mehmood ayaz malik in National hospital defence... but if yu want value for money then go to fauji foundation hospital bedian road.. herniorraphy is not a complicated procedure so fauji foundation will be good.. has excellent care, facilities and very cheap.. its a hidden gen being run by Army personnel.. go for laproscopic surgery as scar will be minimum

Haider replied on Sunday, June 28, 2015 05:07 PM PST
