Hudiara drain Survey completed

LAHORE: Environment protection department of the CDGL has completed the survey of industrial units operating near Hudiara drain.

Talking to APP, deputy district officer Environment Younis Zahid said that in line with the instructions of secretary Environment Punjab Sajjad Saleem Hotiana,this survey was carried out to ascertain the level of pollution caused by untreated waste thrown into Hudiara drain.

"The untreated effluents contain different chemicals,organic waste and heavy metals",he added.

As many as 300 units of textiles, stitching,weaving,leather and engineering are operating in the area from Baidian to Mohalanwal. The official stated that action would be taken against polluters under Pakistan Environment Protection Order.

Plots Facing Club & Community Center
Dear Experts,

Pleas share your views on plots facing to club & community center on 150ft wide road (means plot on 150ft road & club & community center is on other side of road)

Is it negative, positive or having no impact?

Other norms which I under stand are as;

Facing Park = Positive
Facing Play ground = Positive
Facing Mosque = Negative
Facing OHT = Negative
Facing School or Hospital = Negative
Facing Commercial = Negative

My 5 year brief experience in Lahore property trading says:

Facing Park = 5-15% more expensive depending on how large the park is.
Corner plot = Around 10% more expensive. I have one 1 kanal corner plot in Phase 9 L block which is around 10% more expensive than the plot next to it.
Facing graveyard = The most difficult to sell plots. Value tends to be at least 15% cheaper. When my Phase 7 10 marla was balloted in 2013, the average price of plots in the same block was 40 while I sold mine at 33.
Facing school = I dont necessarily agree that facing school is always a bad thing. Who wouldnt want to have their kids studying next to the house? Saves petrol and time dropping off kids or picking them up from school.
Facing hospital/mosque = Hospitals and Mosques are good places but the fact is plots facing these buildings are a bit difficult to sell primarily due to parking issues, traffic, privacy and sometimes even noise.

my concern is installments because i can not pay lumslum payment
i can manage upto 7 lac down payment and all remaining in installment form.
what about Canal Garden just opposite to sukhchain

I think Ahsan Ali is right, Central park is not good on installments.One of my relative bought 10m on installments in 2010,now he is so disturbed and uncertain about his plot.I also recommended him 5m in Bahria Nasheman, but he did n't act upon my advice,now he is repenting on loss. My choice is also Bahria Nasheman as its prices will touch 35-40 lac for 5m very soon.wait and see.

For Army officers.. check out Army portal W&R directorate site on OAS. A number is displayed there. Call on that number and give details of your file and Army number. They will reply back with your plot and sector number
