Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad, Amer Ali Ahmed, held a meeting with the Director General, Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation, Mian Talat Rashid and his
team along with district collector and his team to review the progress of development work in Sector G-14, Islamabad, a spokesman for the DC Office said.
The representatives of allottees including Abdul Hafeez Ch, Javed Akhar, Shahid Humayun, Muhammad Ali and other also participated in the meeting.
Director General, FGEHF, Mian Talat Rashid, briefed the participants that the development contract had been awarded to M/s NCL and development work has been initiated at the site. He informed that so far 2 dozers, 1, grader, 1 excavator, 2 road rollers, 3 dumper trucks and 2 tractors had been send to the site. Alignment of Nullah in G-14/3 for re-routing has also commenced. Road networks of Sector G-14/3 had been marked and stripling of street No 107 ant Street No 92, is in progress. Excavation of OHR of 70,000 gallons had been carried out.
The representatives of allottees appreciated the efforts of Islamabad Administration whereby finally they had reached this stage where not only development awarded but the development work had been started too. Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad, has asked SSP, Islamabad Yasin Farooq to immediately establish a Police check post so that no one can create hindrance in the development work. He further directed that cases should be registered against anyone who violates the law or interrupts the activity of development work.
The Housing Foundation was also asked to further strengthen their site office and the officials deployed there should submit daily progress report of on-going development work, to director general, Housing Foundation. Directions were also issued to District Collector and Land Acquisition Collector to complete the remaining pending matters in the process expeditiously and all actions taken by the Housing Foundation and Land Acquisition Collector, should be transparent and accessible to the allottees for their information. It was also decided that meetings of allottees and director general, Housing Foundation will take place twice a month to review the progress of on-going development work.
