heared that DHA has purchase some land in between Q and P block -the lower free land beside Q block and updating the map.it will extend and direct connection with the avenue 13 /MB to Barki Road.

1-is it true-any1 has the update
2-will it bring any significant effect on Q,T,& S blocks of Dha 7 price?

Yes its true but old news. I dont expect any major rise when map is changed. Not many people like to use side roads esp one near Pungali.

I heard this news from a dealer who is himself living in Pengali village, He told that some major Patch of Land was taken over by DHa and and soon DHA Q Block Map will revise. However he did not Comment on opening of DHA 7 Main Boulevard to Barki Road, If That hppens so then it will have MAjor impact on These Blocks and DHA 7 also.

Open a Foreign currency account in any bank in pakistan and do a TT to your account in UAE, or else make travellers check from any exchange or bank in pak and redeem them in UAE or where ever you want.

The best way is to transfer thru foreign currency account as western union or moneygram etc will charge you too much. Also, the money gets stuck sometimes and then you have to follow up many times.

If you have citibank account in both countries, transfer is free and instant and in same currency (I am assuming US dollars account).

Buying Plot in X commoners is a grave mistake prices will sharp decline in coming years, poor development. Stay away from DHAI other you will regret whole life.

can you please update of the reasons why is it not a good choice.
I personally think the development is same like dha 2 proper.
location is also the same, just on the other side of road.
and prices are nearly half of dha 2 proper.

I agree it will take 3 - 4 yrs for complete development or construction of houses. But in the budget of 3 -4 million you can get the best plot, while in 4 million you will get the near boundary or filled area plot in dha 2 proper?

what do you think?

Thousands of people suffered in DHA Valley and DHAI II Ext, X-Commoners is also a product of DHAI, Well if you can wait 10 years or thinks things will prosper Good Luck!, But it will be a gamble just like other DHAI projects.

Bank to Bank,. one transactno should be good.
GO to UBL and do it from there. Since it is a large amount, request hem for a better rate than the counter

Hi BamBam, I am also currently living in Qatar and use QNB to transfer money to Pakistan. Its always good to use over-the-counter service of a bank for larger amounts as they will give you a proper receipt of your remitance which you will eventaully need one day in Pakistan due tax related issues. So my advise to you is not to think of exchange rate or the delay and use the proper banking channel. Regards

al fardan exchange has the best rate .The process is simple and the money is transfered to a bank account in pakistan within 3 or 4 days .

@Farrukh my account is in QNB as well. I transmitted around 1Mn thru internet banking. You can actually transfer QAR92500 thru internet banking.

Is it more useful to do the transfer over the counter coz you get the reference number anyway from internet banking?

@usman the exchanges start moaning if you wana transfer big amounts. secondly it's not convenient to carry 100,000 in cash.

Carrying cash is not a problem in Qatar. For UBL or any toher exchange house, just take a print out of ATM or bank withdrawal to fulfil their AML requirements.

Call two/three palces for best exchange rate and go for the best.

There was already a 9/10 which later got renamed as 9. There is already a Phase 11 (Haloki), so the next phase will be 12. But don't get your hopes high of that happening anytime soon. DHA has major task getting remaining Phase 7, 5-ext, 7-ext and then Phase 8 ready. After that will come Phase 9 and you are already looking at probably more than a decade before all that gets developed in some shape or form.

1st of all thanks to Lahore real state doing great job….

I am overseas Pakistani. I want to build my home in Lahore maximum 1/2 years. I am not belonging from Lahore that’s why I am familiar with good locations. (build home its a one time job in life)
I have four options.

(I. I own one Kanal plot in Valencia (J block), 2. One Kanal Wapda Town (E), 3. One Kanal Bahria Town (B) and 4th DHA Phase 8(S) yet paying the instalments

O you saday people, margalla avenue is not for zardari neither for people of islamabad; this project was basically for new GHQ (D-11, D-10, E-10), Air HQ (E-9), and Naval HQ(E-8). Since new GHQ is delayed for some time, therefore this project is also delayed. Once new airport is ready, work on this project as well has new GHQ will also begun. So please do not fight with each-other.
