There is a society infront of Pakarab named Gulshan-e-Ahbab where 10 marla ready to construct plot is at 10 lacs. Anyone knows the details??

Waqar Latif replied on Friday, January 30, 2009 01:08 PM PST

never heard about that... And also i don't think you can get 10 lac / 10 marla plot any society closed to pak arab.. the only society i remember is elite town where the rate is as you have said here... 1 lac / marla.. and people are constructing the houses.. but it is pretty closed to nalla.. & also 5 km away from pak arab...

@Qamar

your demand is pretty high...

Waqar Latif replied on Friday, January 30, 2009 01:38 PM PST

@Visit332

Gulshen-e-ahbab is behind tech society on the canal..

jameel replied on Friday, January 30, 2009 04:17 PM PST

i have seen Gulshan Ahbab Society behid Pak arab, it was 80,000 per Merla in 2005 when Pak Arab was 2.5 Lac per Merla, now pak arab is bit low than this price but Gulashan Ahbab is about 11 lac for 10 merla but there was no Plot for sale Before the Water tank which is about 1/2 KM from main enterence.
Gulshan Ahbab is more populated than Pak arab, but most of people are low middle class. It is properly planned but The main difference between these two is all that area was about 6 to 8 feet below the Road level. Pak arab made the Roads at high level and you will have to do lots of Filling with earth in last Blocks Like about 10 Feet Filling or "Bharti". where as Gulshan Ahbab gradually tapered off the roads to the actual level of Land or may be about 2 feet high.
When Gulshan Ahbab will be populated the only way the sewage can come out is sewage pump. Otherwise you might see the water on Roads. But I think
Location is great the person who has 20 lac Budget for House he can buy a plot in 10 lac make semi complete house of 2 rooms etc, and get rid of rent, 90% of Lahore is made like this if you goto areas who were bulit 50 years ago peoplea are still comleting houses and slowly peoblems get solved.
Another problem is you have no registree in Glshan Ahbab which is usual with societies but there are no Land issues. As this society is not approved by LDA so Housing society allotment letter does not have same weightage Like is Good societies. So I will recommend only for those who want to start house immedietaly ie not good for investment.
I think this Info will be helpful for visitor.

Waqar Latif replied on Friday, January 30, 2009 05:33 PM PST

@Jameel

gulshan Ahbab & Gulshan-e-ahbab Phase 1 are different?

since i found this

jameel replied on Saturday, January 31, 2009 02:36 AM PST

Gulshan Ahbab has about 4 diferent colonies at different locations and developed at different times, They are average developers, there is one on Canal behind Tech as you said, This one we are discussing is just behind Last Block of Pak arab phase 1 there is only a road dividing them the name of Road is Chadar rai road. This Road connects it to Kot Lakh pat Ferozepur Road.
I shall try to upload google sat view to show you.

Information replied on Saturday, January 31, 2009 11:38 AM PST

One Gulshan e Ahbab is also right after EME on main Canal Road. This is an ideal
location, this is small well populated but have an average development standard.

Iqbal Town

Very safe area
This is an old house approximately 26 years old, it needs renovation. The honest thing is the street in front of it is only 10 feet, this street is two sids open it is not as one would say a BAND GALI. and I now am wanting to move to some where bigger, it is located between Neelam block of Iqbal town and Rehman pura. It is in Clifton colony near Wahdat colony and Wahdat road. A cultus can fit in the street easily. The price I think is very reasonable because the rate on the road out side of this street is 4.5 lac per marla, one can confirm from the near by property dealers in Neelam block. I am selling this house at land value, the construction on top is free The approach as shown is very simple. If you are interested please contact me.

Hidden fraud of Mr 100% culprit President of Pakistan

Pakistan big business partner and trustable friend UAE have a big investment in technical sector in Pakistan and one of them is Pak Arab Refinery. In 2007 Pak & UAE signed a memorandum to install costal oil refinery (Khalifa coastal Refinery KCR) in Gawader. This can bring a huge investment and employment opportunity in Pakistan. Most of the engineering work completed and ground breaking ceremony was due soon. Mean time PARCO (Pak Arab Refinery) MD (Managing director) completed his extended contract and retired. He was also in charge of KCR and UAE investors trust on his professional abilities, honesty and wants to extend his contract for next 3 year to put online KCR project in Gawader.
But UAE cancelled this project because of our Famous 100% culprit president (Mr.Khappay) directly involved to not extend Parco MD contract and asked Parco higher management and UAE official to pay him some millions of dollar (Amount can not be disclosed) for MD contract extension. UAE official got extremely angry and they cancelled the KCR project due to the Mr. Khappay behavior. News was disclosed on news papers at the end of Dec-2008 that KCR project cancelled. Immediately Pak Gov awaked up and sent immediate a delegation to UAE to solve this problem. Negotiation and settlements still on going and Pakistani waiting for there future as usual.

Irrespective of this perticular incident, it is 100 % sure that the ZARDARI is very very corrupt. It is realy bad luck for Pakistan that he is our president. He go killed his wife and ruling (luting) Pakistan. Allah save us from such bad people.

Hanif Bahi,
I dare to challenge your source of this news. Again I am not piplia but please please confirm these kind of rumors before you put it on this forum.
The reality is that UAE Govt was so desperate to control the PARCO majority share by any hook and crook means. We cannot blame them because every single investor is greedy. We have to be very very careful with our Privation program. UAE did a same kind of black mailing during PTCL (Eitasalta) take over. Unfortunately Musharaf’s regime bent down to make an agreement on their terms and conditions. Every time you cannot get a royal treatment. By the way, Eitasalat still owes 400 million installments to Pak Govt.

I would like to mention one more incident here. Ex- CJ took action against Steel Mills acquisition. Our brother country KSA wanted Steel Mills at peanut price. I think Pakistan nation owe him for his historical judgment. I would say that Pakistan is NOT FOR SALE. Please don’t be emotional with name of Zardari. We can criticize his actions but let’s not discuss his personality. (Bud saaay Budnam Burra )

comparison replied on Friday, January 30, 2009 11:19 PM PST

Why blame pipli, Sharif got pardoned twice by Musharraf, where as Zardari got pardoned once!
Technically, Zardari still have one chance left as compare to Na.Sharif.
If Sharif is allowed to label his party as Nawaz league than Zardari should also be allowed to lable his party as Zardari party.
There is no doubt Zardari is one of the most corrupt person but Sharif is both corrupt and dumb.

Apartment prices in Pakistan are high !

Why are prices for new apartment buildings in Pakistan so expensive. Pace Towers and Boulevard Heights in Lahore and Creek Marina in Karachi are all asking between 9,000 rs and 10,000 rs per square foot.

That means a 1600 sq ft apartment costs 14,500,000 rs. One can buy a houses in Defense for this price. I prefer an an apartment. But ......

Why are these apartments so expensive?
Is anyone paying these prices?
Is there any chance that one's investment will be profitable over time? In other words, be able to sell later at a higher price?
Is apartment living in Pakistan going to become more desirable as Pakistan strives to be more Western?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Pak Rupee to shed further

As salamu alaikum

In today's newspapers, there is a statement from the Governor SBP that Pakistan Rupee is going to shed further within comming week. The US Dollar is expected to rise upto Rs. 85/=

The imact of the devaluation of Rupee will be :

1. Increase in Gold Prices
2. Increase in Car prices (new and 2nd hand)
3. Increase in the prices of all imported items

All concerned to make necessary arrangements

Allah Haifz

Rehmat Ali replied on Thursday, January 29, 2009 01:51 PM PST

SBP can not decide. It is the market which will decide. I do not see any reason to panic and for your information it will revolve around 79 and 80 for next few months.

This is the assertiong made by Governor SBP

"Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Salim Raza, hinted further depreciation of the rupee by Rs 2 to Rs 3 against US dollar after burden of financing furnace oil import would be shifted on the interbank market.

However, he hoped this would only be a short-lived depreciation and rupee would come back to Rs 79 to Rs 80 per dollar."

You are free to judge yourself what would be the impact.

yessss replied on Thursday, January 29, 2009 06:31 PM PST

I think the lower the rupee, the more foreign currency is going to flow into Pakistan. If the rupee hits 100rs to the dollar, I am sending in BIG money to take advantage. Once my money is in Pakistan, I will spend it in Pakistan. Pakistan needs money and spending. It is a win-win for me and for Pakistan. no ?

Mohsin replied on Thursday, January 29, 2009 07:01 PM PST

STOP MISLEADING PEOPLE. NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT FUTURE.

I have seen here Mr. CMY saying for sure that dollar was going to touch Rs. 100, it never did. The current situation of currency market, depreciating pound suggest that rupee will appreciate vs dollar. No one sees dollar appreciating, no reaon for it.

i guess you haven't read the post above me... if you would then you will know how he is selfish.. they don't send money to pakistan for pakistanis.. but to buy property, lands, or help their family.. after all everyone has in mind that one day they will return back home... & also it is obivous if you are not willing to pay 20 rupees of 10 rupee thing, then the price never will go up.. But yes property dealers are also responsible for this..

& it is not a hidden truth.. we all pakistanis are selfish.. btw yes, the dollar rate gonna up for 3-4 rupees in some days...
