I confirmed through my sources that there is not change in the alignment of RR southern loop from ferozpur road till multan road (as per previous approve alignment). From multan road onwards its status was not decided before and still is not clear. The previous company which gave bid for RR was not willing to give rebate which is considered as a must for Public private partnership contract based on contract clauses. Due to which it has been rejected by punjab govt.(inside teller). Punjab govt is in negotiation with FWO now becz they also submitted bid but their price was higher. Negotiations are going on, all documents are approx. Complete. Govt is buying land for SL1 and SL2. The rumors that RR alignmet through bahria has been changed has no bases at all. Punjab govt is trying to take extra 150 ft road on both sides. They want to make commercial on both sides bcz they believe if they will not commercialise it now. It will be commercialised later on by indivviual land owners. This has make problems in the previous packages of ring road. For example people have made commercialization along the existing RR packages. Contractor constructed the storm drainage drains along the road but after changing the land for commercial and other purposes they use to break the storm drainage drain and put sewerage in it. In some of the area storm drainage exit was in the low lying farmers land which is only used during rainy season. But after the illegal connection of sewerage into the storm drain, now farmers are protesting against Ring Road authority. Now regarding bahria, bahria is willing to handover the land for RR but they are opposing 150' for commercial along the ring road through bahria.
