False Ceiling Techniques!
I would request some views on the false ceiling techniques used in the residential properties in Pakistan where gypsum boards are hanged on copper wires from the screws drilled in the ceiling. Is it safe and durable? Have there been any incidents of failing false ceiling with time. Your views will be highly appreciated.

though it is NOT proper way to hang neither right fixture of hanging system for such celling are available and used. The screw with wire is normally used. You must make sure that screw is properly drilled and proper size of role plug is used to take the load of gypsum sealing. Cover the exposed bit wire and screw head with gypsum as well so they remain protected from rust.

If you are taking of Fancy false ceilings These are not durable and only used by Thkedars to face lift the house or to hide the damp of leaking baths. Another issue is dust sticking to these which cant be cleaned easily because surface have designs. In Couple of years they look ugly.
