E-12 Islamabad,

Dear All & Specialy Mr. Mian Nadeem

We all know E-12 is a very highlighted issue of Islamabad. Do we have some any combind forum where we can all together raise our voice infront of related authorities to make our case listened.
I beleive and have checked your previous writings and your answers to many questions that E-12 allotees have filed some pettion in the court. Please do share the updated status of the same with me too and add me in your list.

I reside in UAE and shifting back to Pakistan within this year end and can joine your hands to resolve this long pending issue.

Kind regards

ks replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 04:45 AM PST

Brother Tarar; while there are legal avenues to pursue any issue, getting "justice" from this govt. or any prior regime is quiet futile. Your best bet is to vote for change in the next elections. Pakistan as a whole lacks justice for all and it must be rebuild from grounds up (complete over haul)

Waseem Malik replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 10:41 PM PST

I think there is already an existing E-12 plot owners’ pressure group based in Islamabad. They run their protests and meetings on and off. Usually they announce their meeting agendas in local newspapers. E-12 is a proper square with majority of land available for the development. Just few pockets occupied by land grabbers illegally and they are supported by the local so called leaders who are actually thugs.

SC already directed CDA to start development. Now its time they use force to implement court orders. I think E-12 development is not far. Once this sector opens, it will develop very fast because of its ideal
location.

Dear all readers

Can you please let me know if any one has received money back from the owners of Ahad Tower near Kalma Chowk, Lahore as it is stopped since many years and nothing happened. I got an office on 1st floor and paid all amount 20 lacs but visited site of the plaza and no one is available and all gone. So what should be done to get the money back? Do they have office on other place to handle for this plaza. Many people have invested there but never seen any discussion for it. I do not think that it will be completed. So do you have idea how to get back refund. ( via which channel)

what is wrong with phase 6. 100s of houses are under construction and possession is over two years and phase 8 non developed are and minimum 4 yrs behind is having more price while phase 7 a poor
location with no possession as yet is catching prce of phase 6... Have a heart

DHA replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 09:45 PM PST

I donot understand what is the big difference
on
location of Phase 6 & 7 (average I am not
Talking about extreme good or bad location
Dha Phase 6 biggest investment is Golf Course
some how it's inPhase 7
It's just matter of few hundred meters

Phase 6 replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 11:54 PM PST

By the same logic it is also few hundred meters between phase 8 and 6. Difference lies in 2 km long bussiness bay, lgu, beacon house, golf course, interchange, it's linkage with phase 5 and 8, posession and rapid development and construction and so on and on

Ny replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 11:08 AM PST

Friends go in market and try to buy phase 6 plot believe me it's very hard to confirm a deal . On other hand phase 8 u can find hundreds of plots.at this stage every body is checking price no one is selling .price is going up day by day for phase6.

Lahore Real Est replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 03:57 PM PST

Mr.NY is right, Seller not are available in abundance in Phase 6, As good
location for house construction in phase 5 will cost 135 to 160 lac (depending on location). The availability is very short as well there due to short supply. Now People considering Phase 6 very seriously for construction rather Phase 5.

Price Comparison of DHA 6,7,8
To me Currently DHA 8 is Bit overpriced, In future all DHA 6,7 and 8 will be One Unit of DHA as these Physically Connected
Becauses At the Time Of posession DHA 8 [possibly 4 ys after] 6 and 7 will be densely populated so at posession of DHA 8 the
Prices of 6,7 will not be affected.
My Close Obsevation is
DHA 6 Prices peaked about 3 Months Back and Now standing No Fall No rise
DHA 7 Averge plot Gained 8 to 10 Lac in Last 6 Months
DHA 8 Prices are also stagnat and recently there is marginal fall
At The Tme Of posession DHA 8 Prices will vary Greatly Block to Block and level wise.

abc replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 07:50 PM PST

From your words "Jazakallah in advance for yur time and help", I assume that you are somewhere in Saudi or in some gulf country. Anyhow i have seen in Riyadh, people excessively use desert coolers (with ducts going to every room) just to increase humidity level in their apartments. These prove good in very dry conditions but I doubt in Pakistan they could be so cost effective. In all cases, AC will have to be used.

Allah knows the best.

Saeed replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 10:48 PM PST

I am in Lahore , and came from Riyadh. I did try this , but unfortunatly it did not work. The humidity in Lahore is very high , so hardly it works for a couple of months,It suffocates and you may not get any comfort from it from July onwards.. To me it is waste of money. If you are from a dry area like bahawalpur or south punjab it may work for few more weeks.

Khan replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 06:26 AM PST

The name itself answers the question. Desert Cooler is only good in dry 'desert' climate.

MAK, Riyadh replied on Friday, October 19, 2012 06:21 AM PST

My family moved to Islamabad from Riyadh around 8 years ago and we are using big cooler installed outside the window it works very well. Anybody entering our home in summer feels we have ACs working. Though we did not install any AC at all. Cooler once in blue moon does not work well, normally it is OK.

Ali Khan replied on Friday, October 19, 2012 01:48 PM PST

Dear Adil/MAK,

Please throw more light as to who provides ducting/cooler and cost and what is good brand of desert cooler? Is it quite cheaper VS AC?

NFC Lahore Phase 2 Location

The link is not really done by the socities. The canal bank road is government property since the canal passes through NFC very close to the Multan road. Currently, the canal bank road stops at the gate of Bahria since this road was constructed by Malik Riaz himself and not by the government. However, if you proceed straight along the canal on the kacha road for another 1 kilometer, you will be inside NFC2. I am not really sure how the future link will work but for Bahria residents, this would be the nearest access to Multan road once built. That is why I believe that NFC2 has a very good future once it is developed, and this is certainly the best time to buy a plot as price is very low. Next year, the price will be much higher as development work is going ahead quite rapidly.

Khuram replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 03:24 PM PST

Adnan one of my friend told me that bahria has built a 150 ft road to have access to multan road from NFC phase 2. Is it true or not. Any other members please confirm it.

Kamran replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 04:49 PM PST

Does the price of NFC2 mentioned by LRE
team, i.e. NFC Phase 2 Lahore Residential Plots Available (Under Development).... 5M = 4 To 6.50, 10M = 7 to 12, 1K = 12.50 To 19, include development charges or not?

Adnan replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 05:47 PM PST

No, that is not true. May be there is a plan or something, but nothing on the ground yet. Also, NFC2 will have to allow such an access to Bahrain which may not be acceptable to the NFC2 residents/members as it would result in a lot of traffic issues in the society.

ZIT MAN replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 07:55 PM PST

Yes Kamran, that includes development charges.

Dear Fellows,

Need sincere advise, I have very good job in Saudi (suker alhamdolilah) plus also have Canadian Permanent Residency.

In order to maintain PR status for Canada I need to quit my current KSA job as I have to stay a minimum of two years out five in order to keep PR status, I have been to Canada on multiple attempts and this time i live for more than three months but didn't had any luck in getting career job, however on survival job you can live hand to mouth.

Do you guys think its wise to maintain PR status by living in Canada or I should give priority to my career job on which I am on in Saudi Arabia. My family is on myself, wife and 3 years old son, by profession i am petro physicist with 8 years of experience.

Moderator, please keep this post active for a day as many overseas visit your site and will be able to guide me better in making this important decision.

Khan replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 02:14 PM PST

Brother desiperdesi, I am giving you very sincere advice, may be you or many other people will consider it sentimental or useless in this era. We are Muslims by the grace of Allah the Almighty and this is the most precious gift of Allah to us. According to one authentic Hadith of Muhammad (PBUH) one Muslim must not migrate to one non-Muslim country. At the end, everyone has to die and answerable to Allah the Almighty. By migrating to non-Muslim countries, we take risk to spoil our next generations. Presently, you are in the best place of world and remember Allah is the "ONLY Raziq" and Masha'Allah you are highly qualified person and well settled also in KSA. Insha'Allah, Allah will you give you vast Rizq in future also if you trust on Allah and do not migrate to non-Muslim Country. I did the same for myself and did not apply to get UK migration on HSMP program in 2003 (all documents were ready) although at that time was very easy for me due to having professional qualification from UK. Anytime, I did not face any trouble in Rizq and instead it is increasing continually by the grace of Almighty Allah. I am also staying in KSA. ALLAH KNOWS THE BEST.

Ajmal replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 02:15 PM PST

Most of People who have good Jobs In Gulf find it very Difficult to Quit Their Job and go To Canada as Life is Tough there and salary is Much less, even For similar Job.
I Have Few examples here
X1 A doctor 45 years Got Immgration 5ys Back and and never Thought he should leave a Job Paying 35000 Dhs salary plus accomdation and lost PR Chance he is OK with This decision
X2 working in Etislat on 20000 Lum sum salary sent his wife and Kids to Canada and he is working in UAE , He is Not Old too hardly 40, He frequesnly Visit them , He Told That he did IT arrangement in Apartment where his Family is Living Mutiple camera and Mics Plus wireless Mics So He is on Hotline with Them at length, During off offices Hours , He can also interact with Kids very well. He was Looking satisfied.
X3 A professional 52ys has Grown Up Kids just Got PR and his Kids will soon be going to Colleg and Univ , He Thinks he will maintain his Job paying 36K UAE and will send his wife and Kids to get residence.
X4 An engineer In private getting 9K salary only had No question to stay in UAE and as soon as he got PR he went.
My advice is For stable Job and any salry More than 20K SR no question U should Leave the Job, Salary less than 10K There is No question U should stay in Saudi.
In between You assess your Family need If Kids are grown up and need higher education then send with your wife.

jk replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 03:05 PM PST

If you want your generation to be in the same situation as you are today don't go and if you want them to be confident migrate. Moving partially is against the nature and will bring more difficulties. Do ISTIKHARA it will give you satisfaction and peace of mind.

JUJ replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 04:11 PM PST

The behaviour of Arabi to Pakistanis is well known. I would suggest go to Canada for good future of your son if not for yourself. You will find good job, just wait.

Muslim replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 05:42 PM PST

My personal opinion in favor of Mr. Khan's sincere advice.

Your next generation is your future, and Raziq is Allah. If you shift to Canada, your first gen partially and second fully be Muslim by name and third might be completely none Muslim. You will be a source of this conversion of your next breed from Muslim to non-Muslim. ON the day of judgement, you will be held responsible for the good or bad you provided/ tought to your kids. Majority of the moderates living in Pakistan are far away from such thinking and consider such ideas as freak.

I am living in KSA, roamed around different countries to convince myself to find better place than this but failed. Though facing number of constraints here, can afford to settle anywhere but am quite satisfied when thinks into the future of kids in real term (after I leave this world).

I will suggest you to stay where you are and leave the rest on Allah!

J replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 06:28 PM PST

Adnan replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 07:00 PM PST

Well, I respect everyone's point of view but I dont believe Allah put any restrictions on movement. If you studay the Quran, it is quite clear that Allah talks about Zameen and not Mulk, all land belongs to Allah, so being Muslim does not prohibit you from traveling and living in a non Muslim land. As a matter of fact, if Muslims in the past did not travel and live in non Muslim lands, Islam would not have spread throughout the world. On a more practical note, sentiments have to make sense, being emotional without recognition of the facts on the ground is merely being stupid, and stupidity is haram in Islam, I can guarantee you. Therefore, my dear desiperdesi, make a wise choice, think long term for your children, I would go to Canada and not let this opportunity go. You can spend two years a bit tight, and then come back to the Gulf, there are plenty of jobs for Canadian nationals in this part of the world. I am surprised how you can even think about this, there is no room for error, you will not get a canadian citizenship again if you spoiled this chance. And in KSA, you can spend the rest of your life and still be an alien, the day you lose your job, you have to leave. Go to Canada my brother, and you will find Allah there as well, same Allah, and plenty of Muslims. Have faith my friend. God bless you.

Adnan replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 07:09 PM PST

And considering that your son has autism, you must go to the "moderated people who call us fundamentalists" because the same people are the ones who will take care of your son, the same people are the ones who have better "huququlibad" than us and the same people are ever likely to cure your son. I look like I am advocating non Muslims, but really I am not. All I am saying is that we have a fanatic and "fundamentalist" view of not only others but also ourselves as Muslims. We consider ourselves as supreme, better than everyone else, heirs of heavens, but Muslim society today unfortunately has the most ills. We curse the west, yet we eat, drink, wear and drive things that they made, we talk on the phones that they invented, we watch the tv that they invented, we sow the seeds in our farms that they engineered in their labs, we live on the money that they donate to us, and yet we call them infidels and call ourselves Momin, what hypocrisy. If everyone in Pakistan gets a canadian visa, I can bet on my life that everyone except for a few will leave. So why should you stay my friend, go to greener pastures. When you walk on their streets and drive on their roads, you will see Allah better, as there is no killing, theft, corruption, fundamentalism, jahalat, in that country. It is a better Islamic society even without being an Islamic soceity

( Moderator's Note: Please read in continuation of above post of Mr. Adnan, as this part below was not initially posted due to some technical problem. We apologize for that. However, please note this does not mean we have an agreement or disagreement with the opinion expressed. )

And for the "Muslim" brother who suggested that you will be responsible for the conversion of your kids into non Muslims, first, it is mere speculation that your kids and their future generations will convert simply because they are not living in a country with a Muslim government. Secondly, if Allah starts pinning responsibilities of the behavior of our future generations upon our decisions, we will all burn in hell. Allah SWT says to Muhammad PBUH in the Quran, "You are only here to give good news of Jannah to the pious and scare of hell to the sinners, you are not their Darogha, you are not responsible for their deeds". How can Allah not hold resonsible his last Prophet but hold us responsible for our future generations. And then comes the question of being Muslim and being a true Muslim. Do you really believe that Muslims living in Muslim countries are all true Muslims and the Muslims living in non Muslim countries are not true Muslims. Allow me to ask this question from brother "Muslim" here, are all the residents of Pakistan going straight to heaven, or the residents of Saudi. I live in Bahrain, go to Saudi many times, meet with Saudis every day, in my opinion, they are as hard headed, stupid, corrupt and inhuman as they were 1500 years ago. They dont obey the law, they drink and womanize, they dont consider any non Arab as human, still you think they are true Muslims just because they live in Saudi Arabia, so all their sins will automatically wash off and they will go to heaven. We Muslims are living in a fools paradise, convincing ourselves that we will simply go to heaven because we were born in a Muslim family in a country with a majority of Muslims living in it. Think again my brothers, is heaven so simple to achieve, just take nationality of Pakistan or Saudi Arabia and recite the Kalma, and thats it. Wake up, it surely takes a lot more than just being in this or that country, and no, you will not be punished for your future generations sins, just like your forefathers must not be punished for your sins.

I suggest go to canada. Complete ur residency. Get the passport. Your kid is small n believe me he can be normal because in western countries they have a lot of options and organizations to help. Once u get passport u can come to pak or gulf watevrr u want. But in future citizenship will help ur child. No doubt..

There is no gaurantee that ur job in ksa will last forever.

One more thing. DONT ask for advice from those who dont know about the good aspects of west

And to all muslim brothers if muslim dont go to mulk kufr how will then islam spread.

In my opinion you will see Islam's teaching related to scociety practically implemented in Canada whereas you can find all un Islamic practices abundently available in Gulf.No respect no caring look at the trafic you can easily understand the difference.Go to Canada get citizenship and then decide We being Pakistani and working in Gulf must have second home as we can not settle in PAkistan after living in Gulf easily

I do agree with Khan, Muslim, and J.

I work in Dubai and was in a similar situation 10 years ago. Having visited Canada just like you I decided to give-up my Canadian PR and stayed at my job in Dubai. I did not want my children to turn away from Islamic practices and our values untill I die. I met a Muslim boy with the name Ali in downtown Toronto who felt proud in telling me that he is a gay. There are countless other examples. Why to take a chance...believe you me...it is absolutely not worth migrating. Your son's sickness is from Allah SW, and He is the only One who will cure it. My cousin sent his mom to Canada considering better health facilities but her dead body was sent back. Your kids future is determined by your today's decisions....choice is your's

@ Adnan

I feel you are advocating West and US albeit in an intelligent way. I don’t know where are you from. However, if you are a Muslim and Pakistani, you don’t need to be so apologetic. While Muslims all over the world have their issues and Pakistanis are no exception, can you take an account of the destruction West and US have spread all over the world. Yes it is right we use imported stuff, how about the lethal weapons they are exporting to the world since World War II and for which they create war and conflicts amongst the nations across the world using different means i.e. so called intelligence reports, media, United Nations etc. Just one example, USD60 billion worth of military contract signed by US with Saudi Arabia to settle the oil bills. Amazing barter of fuel a lifeline for US economy with ammunition and war machines to make the region like a hell. In a way their so-called exemplary welfare states status and living standards are being financed through spreading wars and conflicts the world over so that they can keep exporting weapons. Had it not been the truth, there won’t be too obvious “haves” and “have-nots” on the face of this world. Rest assure this disparity is not sustainable and have-nots will find their ways of getting their piece of bread or get haves at par in terms of living standards. It is law of nature.

How about Iraq where they waged war in the name of weapons of mass destruction for their own vested interests. Did they ever find those weapons?

Pakistan is bestowed with all basics wheat, cotton and cement etc. to have food, cloth and shelter, the rest like mobiles, internet, tv screens etc. come afterward however not at the cost of peace which is a rare commodity in Pakistan looking like a battlefield since the days of Russian invasion in Afghanistan.

Strongly recommend Pakistanis should go abroad however for the causes like education, jobs and to remit their earnings back to Pakistan to make Pakistan and your next generations prosperous.

Dear Desipardesi,
I know a person who was working as Civil Engineer in Mekkah. He left for Canada for better opportunities. Now he, his wife both work in Cananda and the kids also work on and off alongwith their studies. They have forgotten how to pray and read Holy Quran.
The rest you can conclude.
A Well wisher.

It is Shameful to say but a fact that In Pakistan such a child will pose too much risk to you and your family [In terms of Kidnap and ransom etc]

in Canada no confirmed jobs, only ODD jobs available, we to struggle a lot to adjust ourself in Canada, its too cold also.

Even other than Muslim culture, I prefer not to shift in Canada if a person is having better job and creer in GCC region,

Hi,

This is probably the first time I am posting a reply to any post but in my opinion you should get your PR first, yes i understand you will face lot of problem in these 2 years but think from a longer perspective, after completing the remaining years you can always return to Middle East Countries and stay there. If you spend your entire life in these countries, you will end up in having a good life but still your son will have to struggle a lot in his life, so think from their perspective. Also if you have a Canadian passport at the end, chances of getting a high salary package in GCC countries are more than normal passport.

I humbly disagree with all other members on the fact that while living in Canada or US keeps you away from being Muslim, I personally know many scholars who have spent their entire life in such countries and are pure muslims in true spirite. There are many people who live in Pakistan are quite far from religion but since they live in Pakistan doesn't qualify them as pure Muslim.

I would strongly recommend you considering yours and your son's future, if you get their passport, he will have an opportunity to get the world class education at affordable cost, I did my Masters from UK and paid almost 12000 pounds and UK resident paid somewhere 3000 pounds.

Regards,
Ali

Living Medical and Education are main issues of our society and force us to migrate in a place where all these are available and it is in Canada and not in Saudi Arabia or other gulf countries.

These RAFIQ from Saudi Arabia and GCC may have not face these issues yet and I wish they do not face a criminal offence or get sick in Arab countries otherwise they will learn in a single day they are in A wrong place.

Spending life time(90 % as bachelors )in uncertain condition. Is it teaching of Islam ?

Living in Gulf Countries make you coward, only 10% people mange to up left their lives style and remaining just survive and return to original within 6 months when return. Where as it is the other way around in western countries.I bet if these friends are been put in YOUR situation they will fly Canada with out consulting.

Brother if you want to live in Gulf keep living but one day you or your new generation will do this migration unless there is not a complete change in motherland and unfortunately we have not start setting the right direction yet.

Certainly there will be some difficult period initially and you may need to put more efforts on some issues but as soon you will settle down things will start improving permanently. As I suggested you above
do ISTIKHARA for your peace of mind and satisfaction.

Good Luck.

Adnan replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 01:37 AM PST

Dear Ahmed-KSA, I am certainly not advocating the west, I absolutely agree with you that the west has abscoded Muslim resources for many decades and have waged war on us Muslims. I am a Pakistani and a Muslim living out of Pakistan, I have traveled the world also. What I am saying is that our hypocrisy as an Ummah is the reason why we are being subjected to all this ravaging by the west, be it wars or be it insult. You mentioned Iraq, why not remind ourselves of the era of Saddam Hussain, wasnt he the crony of the USA and fought their war against Iran for 8 years, killed millions of people. I am not saying that US was justified to do what they did in Iraq, I cannot justify evil for evil, but Saddam gave away the reasons to the west to invade him. He was a mass murderer and corrupt. Look at all the arab countries today, all are corrupt, you live in KSA, how do you rate the Saud family ruling with iron fist and making a mockery of Islam with their absurd religious practices and laws. You speak about Pakistan and the Russian invasion of Afghanistan. I can see you do not clearly remember why and how we got involved into this war, this was again a US war that we fought as a proxy, thanks to Mr. Ziaulhaq and his compatriots, look at what it brought us, misery for generations to come. Whose fault was this, USA or our own. You speak about Afghanistan, the war in this country was launched because they had a bunch of lunatics ruling the war ravaged country in the name of their twisted version of Islam and harboring a terrorist organization. Malala, the 14 year old girl advocating the right to education, was shot in the head by the same Afghani Muslims that are now issuing a statement every day to convince us that their action is justified by Islam.

I work hard for my country, living outside, sending money, buying property, my home and my family are back in Pakistan, and so is my heart. The only reason that I am spending so much time and energy writing all this is because I love my country and my religion. But I feel sorry (not apologetic) for what I see, of my country and my religion. I am a very highly educated man, not only in academics but I have also studied religion, Islamic history written by not only Muslims but also non Muslim scholars. I have studied Hadith as well. And that is what makes me wonder when my fellow citizens and educated people like the friends on this forum talk about religion and standards of the west. You found a Muslim boy in Toronto who told you he was gay, I can name tens of famous actors on Pakistani TV and film who are gay, so what?? Being gay is biological, not by choice. The streets of Pakistan are full of terrorists, thieves, beggars, looters, plunderers, and what not, and good people also. I can name a number of my friends and people I know who live in Canada and other western countries, and they are more into religion than I am. So my dear friend, if you are saying that moving to canada or the west will take you away from the religion, then I am sorry to inform you that your religious beliefs are not very strong and cannot face adversity. What kind of belief is that which changes when you change your
location??

aliakee replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 01:51 AM PST

The main purpose to move to canada is rizk but unfortunately you are not suceeded in it so far.Deen protection is in saudia definatelty not in canada e.g homesexually is legal there but Allah swt cursed it.

i think, you could go canada and your family should be in some muslim country.so when you are old ,you will came back in muslim country and your kids who will grow in muslim country will try there luck in west.

jnz replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 01:54 AM PST

Hi,

you MUST go to canada.
Most people struggle in the beginning but there are tons of pakistanis there who will help you. go to alberta. you will find work in oil and gas / mining sector which is booming and which will continue for years to come.
there are many muslims all over canada and you can lead a independent life and alway can move to dubai etc after your citizenship.

best is to keep going back and forth and get a job and then move family.

saudi has no long term future in terms of permanent settlement. Pakistan you know how it is. The thing is, secure yourself and then you can always live where ever u like.

i have lived in US, Europe, Gulf, have a canadian citizenship and now live in lahore.

jnz replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 02:13 AM PST

I have met pakistanis all over the world.
In prague, in barcelona, in johannesburg, in peru, etc etc.
we are probably the biggest country which is so unstable and lacks work opportunity that our folks have to emigrate all over the world - legally and illegaly - but also the situation keeps getting worse so that it becomes harder and harder to move back (unlike indian or chinese who can easily go back and settle their life).
consider yourself very lucky that you have a good legal option to move to canada.

I have met many pakistanis families who live in the west - and go to clubs and drink and eat pork. and many who stick to their pure pakistani culture etc. there is freedom to do x or y.
however, if you take an effort to keep connected with the muslim center in your area, then you can easily lead a nice muslim life anywhere where there is muslim community. so get connected to the islamic center whereever you go. if you teach you kid quran with translation, it is impossible that he will not enjoy the life in islam. i have seen many kids born abroad like US, UK, Europe etc, who are great muslims and with internet etc it is much easier to teach quran - islamic classes on sunday etc.
besides, canada has a huge muslim community and canada welcomes diversity. as long as you dont start blowing up stuff.

so, be brave and move. however, do locate some contacts in oil and gas industry who can help you to find the right job.
as i said, go to alberta and you will find work.

ks replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 03:05 AM PST

You all missed one key point
"Where ever you live, live TOGETHER with your family"
Teach your family about Islam by being a good role model and Allah Karim will not abondon you. Do not fear of a country of residence, fear of doing bad deeds, and you will be just fine.

Khan replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 06:38 AM PST

Very interesting discussion. A lot has been said about Islam is Gulf. What kind of Islam is this where locals and foreigners are entitled to medical treatment on the basis of their nationality and not sickness! This does not happen in Kafir countries, Canada or others.

overseas paki replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 01:12 PM PST

i'm going to second Mr. Khan. We have more rights in western countries than you have in pakistan and middle east countries. In saudi arabia they treat people from pakistan differently than they treat American Citizens and also their Pay is much better than Pakistani's. Why is that? Their is more honesty in Western Counties than we have in muslim countries.

uae replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 01:22 PM PST

i have been in same situation this same year, actually there is a discussion like this to my question which was same as this one on this same forum, in think in january this year.
I listened to everybody, did istikhara, visited canada to see the opportunities and life style of my friends with similar qualification, discussed with them also. And finally decided to stay in uae, as i am in a government company and earning+saving good money Alhamdullah. Regarding the chance to go there in future, you will miss it, but if you save good money during your stay in saudia or uae, then you can go to some other country also after retirement, its money that counts in this world, if you have it and the information + good working experience, you will excel everywhere.
I am sorry to learn about you kid, there are good medical facilities in ksa and uae also, if people think that they are only available in the west they are mistaken. If you can afford you can have best treatment in ksa and uae also. I discussed with my friend who is also an engineer and working in toronto regarding my current salary and saving and he advised me to stay in uae, although he has canadian nationality. A good stable job is difficult to find, and if you have it, you should thank Allah and think before leaving it for unknown.

uae replied on Thursday, October 18, 2012 01:27 PM PST

One more point, that i remember,
if pakistan is such a hopeless place, as stated by everyone in this forum then why everyone is buying property over there, and why everyone is on this forum to see market rate :-))))
Akalmandoon ko salam.

Islamabad G-14/3 Plot Price

Islamabad G-14/3 Plot Price

I am coming to Islamabad Pakistan on Eid and want to invest in G-14/3, I have a budget of
Rs, 8 Million (80 Lacs)

Please advise that what size of plot I can buy at what price?

Thanks in advance

zakir replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 01:31 AM PST

Better invest in 10 Kanal farm houses in Islamabad orchard by multi professionals for best return of investment after two year.Ballot is due on 31th October and society ll hand over plots in 2 years. After research I found that this is the best investment in Islamabad and it ll give good return in future. It is slightly far but very cheap also.It is very near to wah cant and hassan Abdal. So it is not far from population.

ZNS replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 03:03 AM PST

buy in D-12 or G-14 in zone-2, Bahria in Zone-5. Don't go for for anything else in this budget.

KA replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 05:01 PM PST

@ZNS >> G-14 is in Zone-1

ZA replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 06:12 PM PST

In G-14/3 you will get a plot of 500 (50 x 90) sq yards, Inshah Allah.

Try to get a table top plot in good
location.

SK replied on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 11:13 PM PST

I have checked with two real estates in Islamabad, both offered plots
prices for 50x90 in G-14/3 90 Lacs (9 million) plus, one plot infront of Grave Yard was offered at the price of 78 Lacs. Even at 90 Lacs plot is confirmed.

Both real estates are offering 40x80 at Rs, 80 Lacs plus,

Please advise me about these prices in G-14/3, I am not interested in G-14/2 or any other sector.

Please advise

You must go for the plot in front of graveyard. You may get it for 7.5 million. It is good for openness and from security view point as well. On ground alive people are much more dangerous than underground dead people.

One day CDA will sell some plots on the part of graveyard facing road and your plot will no more remain a graveyard facing one. in that case you will get a jump of 1.5 million. I think it is not a bad deal, what do you think.

I always prefer such plots for less price and openness.
