I have been to the DHA site and found that the overseas Pakistanis can send their applications with the DD @ 85.50 PKR / USD.

My question is whether this rate will remain constant or it will keep changing with the international forex fluctuations ?

Like if the USD goes up i will be in a better position if the rate is constant , otherwise i will have to send more money than the estimation at 85.50 / USD.

CDA has announced that it will not develop the stalled sectors because it doesn't have any money.It is a very convenient excuse and can be repeated year after year.Haven't they earned billions of rupees from auctions ? Where did all that money go ?

Dear CMY (or anyone else with the right info), is it true that attested CNIC copy is not mandatory for applying in the DHA Ballot and a simple photocopy is acceptable. It is particularly difficult for Overseas Pakistanis. Kindly confirm one way or the other.

ISLAMABAD: Regarding issue of Park Enclave and illegal project of Bahria Town, The Senate Committee on Cabinet Chairman, Shahid Hassan Bugti said it seemed that some officers of CDA and management of Bahria Town were working hand in glove for sale of Bahria Town plots. He said even in Bahria Town’s advertisement name of Park Enclave had been used. CDA Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Elahi told the committee that they had clearly mentioned on the boards of Park Enclave that it the is only one approved housing scheme in Zone IV and there is no housing project around seven kilometers of Park Enclave. He said it was up to the citizens to investigate before purchasing plots that what was in their favour. Elahi said Park Enclave’s all plots would be sold

7.4m senior citizens exempted from renewal of CNICs: NADRA

ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has so far exempted 7.4 million senior citizens from renewal of computerised national identity cards (CNICs), as they have either reached the age of 65 have been issued cards valid for lifetime, NADRA Deputy Chairman Tariq Malik said in a statement issued on Friday.

He said, if an applicant gets his or her CNIC renewed after the age of 56, his or her CNIC is declared valid for lifetime, which would be mentioned on the respective CNIC and he or she would not have to renew it again. So far NADRA has issued 22,000 CNICs printed with lifetime validity for senior citizens. Malik added that 3.28 million women and 4.11 million male senior citizens have been exempted from the renewal of CNICs. Moreover, he clarified that people who are 65-years-old or more do not need to visit NADRA centres to obtain a ‘lifetime valid’ CNIC, even if the expiry date mentioned on their card has already passed. Malik urged the people who were less than 65-years-old to get their CNICs renewed immediately to avoid any legal or financial issue where a valid CNIC is compulsory.

The deputy chairman said that the demographic data of citizens is vital for analysis and planning for the overall improvement of the country, which needs to be updated so that various development projects can be efficiently designed and executed. He said that the policy of expiry of the CNICs after a specific period ensures that the data of each individual is regularly updated. The renewal of ID cards protects citizens and updating their data protects them against identity theft. The renewal of CNICs also facilitates storing of the applicants’ data as per the new technology and procedures, Malik added

New Map of Lahore on Google earth

Dear friends,
Google has recently updated the imagery for Lahore region towards DHA PH 5,6,7. These are shown clearly in 28th May '11 image. A lot of construction in PH 5 & 6 in one year is apparent by clicking the history timeline button of the same area for comparison. Ring road towards Ferozepur road is complete till midway. ( Q for CMY : from where it will join Ferozepur road ? as there is a big population in between. ) A lot of work on PH 5/6 interchange has been done. Halfway between PH 8 the map stays old and depicts only a small branch of ring road heading north towards airport but I understand that it is also complete otherwise till airport inerchange. Askari XI has been developed at a very fast pace, it seems almost full.

How valuable are commercial lots in DHA? I have about 50lac that I wish to invest. Does DHA have allocation files for commercial lots as well just like they do for residential?

I have seen 4 marla lot in DHA for 1 carore, how much income can be generated on that per month?

All 2 kanal plots in DHA 8 proper will soon be facing very high voltage line ( Hi tension power line). Wadpa have dug and made the bases for very large poles on MB of DHA phase 6 next to these 2 kanal plots and khairey distributory. Normally prices suffer badly for plots near of facing high tension lines.

I think 2kanal plot holder visitors of LRE should sell their plots ASAP.
