i would strongly not advise... better put money in Naval Anchorage as its reliable with all the facilities in it... plus its closer to islamabad highway/airport compared to gulberg.

You have answered your own question. "being Advertised in leading newspapers". Heavily advertised housing scheme have never been successful. This is what at least I believe and know from the historic record. Better do your on ground research, if at all you want to invest. I will not invest here because of worth Rs. 35 Million of advertisement/promotion.

Don't know about Askari-X but in nearby Chaklala Scheme-1 a 16 -17 years old 1 Kanal house was available for asking price of 1.6 crore.Its plot size was 37.5' by 120', so a little narrow from front.

Yes you can buy DHA Lahore Property on your name without traveling to Pakistan.You need two passport size pictures, NIC Copy, Foreign Visa or passport copy, Copy of Exit Stamp Page from Pak and Entrance stamp Page of Foreign country. Your family member, relative or your close friend (holding his own NIC)is needed for transferring file/plot on your behalf. Funds should be in Pakistan at the time of transfer.You will receive allotment letter when you will visit physically DHA Lahore Office

I visited phase 8 on and buy a plot in sec G.Bahria Town Machinery working in some places to make roads and land leveling work.
Construction work is slow in this phase, althoug in sec F1,here fully possession area and BT had given all utilities services but i have not a single house under construction. i think it may be due to worst economical condition of country. overall for investment and residential purpose this phase is good for middle income peoples in low budget ie 5lac to 20lac you can get a plot of 5marla to 10 marla.

f-17 is developed and alot of families are living there, but in this price range u can only get a 10 marla plot.for investment f-17 is all the way gud because this society is close to zone 1(main islamabad) and can gud returns

prefer f-17 or dha depeding upon ur work place ,schools , colleges etc etc but dha is in zone 5 most far flung area and it is not considered islamabad in most cases

i think people should come out of the brand names phobia; DHA has only the name associated with it in islamabad. F 17 has quality, good appproach, brilliant future due to new airport. kashmir highway is getting doubled and road from tarnol to airport is also widening

DHA-2 (x commoners)- is possession being given, I was in Pakistan Jan 2012 and this area looked like a ghost town.no work going on, 2-3 houses under construction but I was told that limited utilities are available so not sure how it's Liveable. Please share your thoughts. Also why Zaraj at the bottom of list and why not Bahria ph 7 and 8 in the list?

Steep rise in the price of dha home 8M ,Minimum 55 lakhs bcz its on ground in front of eyes already constructed and very near to possession of first batch. I wonder how come DHAI is going to sustain such a loss as we all know in case there 10 sectors are cancelled what about the development work they did in these sectors?I know that they were not really developed but lets admit ppl do say that there was some thing going on on slow pace for last 4 years.
some one said that DHA is thinking of launching phase 3 and affecties will be alloted plots over there. Well in that case how long again they will have to wait? and what about the new price of plots? DO they have to pay more as due to inflation?
I saw people getting selfish in the previous comments as they are saying that there should be another ballot as why are people having plots in SO CALLED safe sectors lucky? Well my answer to that is that we all know thoes people also got there plots in thoes sectors by ballot and no one knew 4 years ago that this cancellation thing would come up. So dear friends lets wait and see what Allah has instored for us and lets stop fighting with each other.Who know people getting plots in Phase 3 may get better plots and better scheme as now all the eyes will be on DHAI so they will be very careful while planning and facilitating.

DHAI got stuck in a supreme court decision to build dhadhucha dam ..... its not their fault

What i believe is that DHA is planning out some other scheme and as soon as its finalized, DHA would communicate that pending plots would be adjusted in new scheme. So I dont think so that any one would loose any money.

What I see that as a nation, we love to comment. Without even bothering that every comment qualifies as an advice and every one would be responsible before Allah for what he/she advises.
