Bahria Town Lahore Sector D

I have visited Bahria Town Sector D myself. I am pretty much satisfied with the pace of development work in sector D of Bahria Town lahore.

If you move forward across Canal from Main enternce of Bahria Town Lahore and where the Road ends and Dusty Path along with Canal starts. you have to move less than 1 Km on Kacha. you will see yourself the development work on the left side of Canal. If you are interested to see inside sector D. Then you have to ignore the dust there. and move forward inside Sector D. This is AA Block of Sector D. From this Kacha Path you can move to Overseas B Block easily. Then go to Gardenia side of Bahria Town and You will see the development work of sector D there also. It seems Bahria will give posession as promised.

Investment in Sector D is safe and worthy in my point of view.
Mr. AG and Hussain Kaisrani Can give professional and better advise than me.

I have booked a 5 Marla corner plot in AA Block of Sector D facing Mosque. Mr. AG and Mr. Hussain Kaisrani kindly look on the map of sector D and give your opinion about the location and investment.

Shahzad replied on Saturday, October 8, 2011 02:26 AM PST

Expert opinion of CMY will also be appreciated

AG replied on Saturday, October 8, 2011 04:41 AM PST

@Shahzad.

1. CMY Sb. is the most appropriate person to comment on any property in Lahore.
2. I am really happy with the
location of Sector D. You live on the canal bank irrespective of the size of your house/plot.
3. Location of all the corner plots (8 Nos.) facing the Mosque in AA Block of Sector D is good. Residents of houses on these plots will benifit a lot from the nearby School, A big Park and Food Court & Cinema.

Regards.

CMY is not available in office many days due to back pain.

Bahria Town sector D is a great buy due to
location and payments in installments. We have many good locations available. We will be able to offer best location than other Bahria Town Lahore dealer. Development is on going these days.

Dear All,

I received an intimation letter for DHA Phase 5 Plot in G Block Main Blvd Residential.

I hereby seek some advice from experts, CMY in Particular.

1. If I do not want to own this plot and inform DHA that I do not want this plot, what is the procedure to get the deposit back from DHA.

2. If I started paying installments, and after 2 or 3 installments, I feel that financially I cannot continue, what happens to the paid money and what to do to get out of this deal.

Please advise ASAP so that I can make important decision.

Thanks in advance.

Tax Exemptions

Aslamoalikom,

I aplologise in advance that i am going to write one out of contast topic over here but i really need to get some knowledge as below,

In Jan 2011 i send 4.4 milion in pakistan through TT (through proper channel) in my joint account with my mother at HBL. That money were used to buy a plot on my mother name.

Last week my mother received letter from FBR that they have to belive that my (mother) income is taxable becuase we purchased immoveable property as well she is asked to submit prof of her incomes bank accounts businesses etc. before 29th Oct 2011.

My mother is a widow and dont having any kind of income instead of me.

I need help from readers may i arrange a waqeel or simply write a letter with bank statements that money were transfered from overseas remmitance.

If any body aware about this matter please do needful to me.

Thanks

replied on Thursday, October 6, 2011 11:59 PM PST

Consult an Accountant. Probably she can satisfy FBR by showing your remittance documents. Foreign remittance through proper channel is not taxable.

Kamran replied on Friday, October 7, 2011 12:45 AM PST

Do not worry. It is a simple matter. She just has to show the proof of remittance to the FBR. Foreign remittances are tax exempt.

AG replied on Friday, October 7, 2011 12:52 AM PST

Just show a copy of your mother's bank statement showing that TT transection of 4.4 million rupees.

Please tell your mother to reply to the concerned office like " I am a widow and do'nt have any income. In this regard, I am enclosing bank statement of the same bank a/c for your verification and record. She does not need to speak or to go to anyone and just send the letter through courier. India Announces the $49 computer tablet

New Delhi (CNN) -- India's Ministry of Education on Wednesday revealed what it calls the least expensive computer tablet in the world: a device that costs 2,276 rupees, or less than $50.

To launch the tablet, Kapil Sibal, the minister of human resources and development, communications and information, gave a lofty speech in front of a crowd of students in New Delhi.

"There are some moments in history which will be milestones recognized by future generations. This is one such moment." Sibal said. "Today, we see the beginning of a dream realized; a dream in which every student in every corner of this country will have access to technology that defines the 21st century."

The device is called Aakash, which means "sky" in Hindi. It is the product of a joint venture between one of India's elite Institutes of Technology -- IIT Rajasthan -- and DataWind, the manufacturer that won the bid.

"Every vision has detractors. A lot of things were said about this project ... (that) it was simply impossible. But it wasn't just that others said it can't get done by Indians or in India. The worst was when people said we wish it wouldn't happen," said Suneet Singh Tuli, CEO of DataWind.

But while the device is assembled in India, it is not completely made there. Roughly 40% of the parts come from South Korea, 25% from China, 16% from the United States and 16% from India.

Still, one student in the crowd remarked: "You cannot even get a touch screen phone at this price. People used to say only China can make such devices. We can now say yes, India is on par."

The idea was dreamed up by the Education Ministry through its National Mission on Education through Information and Technology (NME-ICT).

On the box, the gadget is not called a computer tablet but a "mobile Internet device." It uses Android technology and is light, 7 inches long, and has an HD screen. The ministry has put professors' lectures from IIT on the device, which can, of course, also play movies.

It does have a few drawbacks. It has Internet access only via Wi-Fi, and it has only 2 gigabytes of internal memory, but that can be boosted to 32 gigabytes with an SD card. The touch screen is not as sensitive as that of an iPad, so scrolling with fingers takes some real digging. The students quickly figured out that using a pen as a stylus worked better.

The Education Ministry admits the Aakash is not perfect, but it says it will improve on its product as it gets feedback from students.

In India, buying a new BlackBerry or an iPhone 4 will set you back from $500 to $700, and most people cannot afford a price anywhere near that. The Aakash would cater to many more people, but it is not for sale yet.

At this point, only 100,000 of the devices are in the manufacturing pipeline. The Education Ministry says it will send those to colleges in India's 33 states and territories. It is meant for the disadvantaged, not those who can buy any new gadget they want.

"[It's] for the benefit of students who do not have access to libraries." a government official said.

But at some point -- maybe in November -- the private company that helped complete the project may begin sales, but only in India for now.

This isn't the first time the country has surprised the world with an amazingly inexpensive product. In 2009, Tata Motors wowed critics with the world's cheapest car. The Tata Nano was priced at less than $2,500.

Those in India's Education Ministry say they dream of a day when students around the world are able to get their hands on an Aakash computer, because of its affordability. And the ministry and its partners are not done trying to bring down the price. The ultimate goal is to make a computer for just $10. They are on their way.

Why an Indian has posted this news on this forum, it's not understandable.

On twitter, I follow many people including many Indians, they have expressed sorrow on the death of Steve Jobs, but no one dared to appreciate Aakash, tablet.

Despite, all this, I appreciate the idea of Aakash. May, this product be beneficial for all mankind, including us.

Necessity makes the things possible. Our engineers and technicians are second to none. Given a chance they can prove even better than India Insha Allah.

Also we must appreciate if anything is good is made by our neighbours.

Please let me know if there is any forum or website where we share our ideas of new inventions?

Posession fee for Oversease Block of Bahria Town LHR

Dear readers,

Bahria Town is asking to pay 1000GBP for having posession of our plot in BT Oversease Phase -2 in LHR. But we have no information before that there will be posession charges.
Further, they have imposed some maintenance charges though we never got intimation from Bahria Town that posession letter is ready in-spite of our repeated requests about the status of posession letter.

Ur advice is requested.

KHAN replied on Thursday, October 6, 2011 06:25 AM PST

I am in the same situation,I have got 7 marla and 1 kanal plot in BT overseas enclave phase 2 and they are asking 200 and 300£ respectively towards possession fee. Secondly , they are adding 118 sq ft in my 7 marla plot (corner) and deducting 180-sq yard from a Kanal plot (Boulavard and corner). Once you pay all dues the possession letter can be collected from BT Office, Lahore. There will be levy if construction is not done within 3 years of getting possession letter. I have noted BT Map phase 2 has 10 marla and 1 Kanal plot only and my plot number shows 10 marla size not 7 marla on the map. Lastly, whats the market price for these plots? it seems BT has ripped us all as I think current market value of these plots are almost half what we have paid to BT . any comments please
