Sir i was just looking for application form and the maps and found out that Phase II S Block have 10 Marla available. Can you please put the light on the location of the proposed plots? Secondly according to S block location if they gona be around Lalic Jan Chowk then i dont see any empty space at least on front main road? If they are on back roads then are they still facing commercial? Should i apply for this commercial plots? I think any plots here would be developed and would be ready for possession very soon. I want to build a plaza in DHA asap. If you have time can you please confirm that Phase III Y block 4 marla plots are the last block of Y Block commercial sector(Very backside with empty plazas)? PROJECT I-15 was started five years ago to provide housing to low-income people in Islamabad. When all the allotees had deposited 90 per cent of their dues, all of a sudden CDA announced that it was unable to work on the project as the cost of construction had increased.

Now there is no hope of any development work in the near future. It is requested that either development should be started or, if that is not possible, allotees should be provided housing in another sector or their money be returned. It was the CDA that violated the contract and it is its responsibility to compensate those affected.

LAHORE - The Lahore Development Authority has failed to compile and save record of plot files in all its housing schemes. The Authority also could not start the process of computerization of other essential data even after the lapse of two years due to lethargic attitude, sources informed The Nation.
The sources further informed that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while taking notice of the negligence of the officials of section concerned and undue delay in this regard, issued directions previous month to commence process of computerization of all the record, giving them three months deadline for the completion of assignment but the department could not start work on the project so far perhaps they forgot the instructions of CM.
Another reason of delay in commencing process of computerization of record was extra responsibilities of the Project Director IT Mansoor Butt who also has additional charge of Director One Window Operation, for redressing public complaints, Member Allocation Committee and sale of Security Featured Papers which no doubt were full time jobs, the sources added.
They said that services of Project Director IT Mansoor Butt were being hired for three years on contract basis. He was getting Rs 90,000 per month from the department for the purpose of computerizing the data of LDA plots but meanwhile he was given more responsibilities contrary to his original job which are major hurdles in accomplishment of the project for him in give time frame and as a result, the process of computerization could not be completed.

Police, DCO to be accountable for land grabbing: Shahbaz

LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that land-grabbing has assumed the form of an industry and there is a dire need to uproot this menace.

He said its time to intensify the ongoing campaign against land grabbing and an effective monitoring system should be evolved for continuing the efforts on a permanent basis. He said that in case of illegal occupation of land in any district in future, district police and district coordination officers concerned would be held accountable.

He was presiding over a meeting for reviewing the ongoing drive against land grabbers in the province, here on Thursday. The Chief Minister said that Punjab government has formulated a comprehensive policy for rooting out Qabza Mafia from the province and a special team headed by Tahir Ahmad Sindhu MPA has been formed for this purpose.

He said that besides state land, the activities of Qabza Mafia on private lands have created an alarming situation and land-grabbers with the collusion of concerned departments are illegally occupying valuable lands of overseas Pakistanis, purchased with their hard-earned money, they are running from pillar to post for justice.

ISLAMABAD: Company Director Law Division, Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) Nazir Ahmed Shaheen told this scribe that Bahria Town (PVT) limited was registered with the SECP under the 1984 Companies Ordinance, having registered office at Bahria Town, Phase 1, Rawalpindi. He said they did not have so much member force or strength to take action against unauthorized projects. He said monitoring and regulating housing schemes was also responsibility of the relevant development authorities, which grant NOC for development/construction to such schemes. Administrator DHA Lahore Brig Muhammad Aslam Rana has said that DHA New Office Complex project is very unique with regard to its standard and is a masterpiece of architecture.

He was addressing as a chief guest on the earth breaking ceremony of New DHA Main Office Complex. He said that the present office complex is not sufficient.

He said that the requirement of sub branches/offices has increased, necessitating construction of DHA New Main Office Complex in Phase-6 which would be constructed in a record period of time. Earlier, Secretary Technical & Chief Engineer Col Azam Shahzad gave a briefing about the project. Senior officials of DHA and residents were also present on the occasion.

ISLAMABAD: A few parliamentarians have shown exceptional interest in the recently-launched CDA housing sector and have deposited forms for balloting.

“A number of MPs have deposited their forms along with the down payment of 10 percent of the total cost of land,” a CDA official said, adding that there was no bar on the MPs or anybody else to seek plots in such scheme.

CDA Chairman Imtiaz Enayat Elahi told The News that it was in his knowledge that many MPs had got the forms to apply for plots in the new sector, which has been launched for private citizens after over two decades.

Hundreds of MNAs and senators already have plots in the private Parliamentarians’ Enclave, which was introduced a few years back by one of their colleagues. However, its fate is in the doldrums since long and it has not even taken off in the absence of acquisition of sufficient land for the colony.

The chairman said that as per amendments in the Zoning Regulations, private housing schemes have been allowed in Zone-IV of Islamabad after the issuance of no-objection certificate (NOC) by the CDA.

He said that in a 2008 decision on a suo moto notice, the Supreme Court ordered the CDA not to stop the residents of Zone-IV from constructing houses and commercial buildings on their private land. It also held that disallowing private citizens to build houses on their land was a violation of fundamental rights.

However, before changes in the zoning regulations were made, a number of ill-planned private housing colonies mushroomed in Zone-IV with the CDA being a helpless spectator to the illegality. The civic body has not been able to take any action against them.

The chairman did not know the exact number of applications received by the CDA so far for the Park Enclave, but said the real rush would start in the last few days of the expiry of the last date, July 31.

The cash-starved CDA has offered just 700 & 500-square yards residential plots in the first phase of the Enclave and expects to generate funds of Rs5 billion. This is the first sector that the CDA has launched for private citizens after a long time. For many years, it has been giving plots in sectors like I-8, G-13 and G-14 to only government servants, barring private citizens from applying for the same.

Officials say CDA plans to sell 600 plots in the second phase of the Park Enclave after a few months, which would touch the Park Road. The price of plots would be significantly hiked as against the cost offered in first phase. They say CDA has fixed the highest-ever price of one 500 square yards plot in the Park Enclave Islamabad compared to its past offers in other residential sectors.
